“Fantastic place to stay.”
Amazing place to stay once you have reached the hotel, tricky to get there, (narrow track in forest), but worth it for the end goal. Lovely hosts who went out of their way to make you welcome, great with the dogs. The room was wonderful, with amazing views, and a mix of rustic charm and modern. The whole place is full of character. The restaurant was great and the food well prepared and well priced, would love to return.
Dirt gravel track, narrow and uneven.

Location, facilities, hosts
“Amazing location and staff”
The secluded location is amazing - just nature around, very quiet. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, even though not really speaking English (my wife speaks Spanish, so there were 0 issues), the breakfast was really good, the whole establishment is just a renovated castle - so a lot of medieval structures / rooms are still there, the ambience is great.
Not really that I didn't like it, but the road to get there does require good driving skills - it's steep and unpaved, sometimes really narrow. Our room did not have an aircon, which wasn't a problem for us (late May), but could be a problem in the summer.
“Amazing unique stay in a medieval fortress”
The moment you arrive, you are met with an amazing experience. We were so looked after and the history is so good on this property. The restaurant has amazing food, we loved our stay and will definitely be back. You cannot go wrong staying here.

“Decent getaway but please read my comments on improvements.”
If you are looking to get away and stay in a place which is isolated, it is perfect.
We took the first sign we saw to get to the fortress and it is a really bad back road which for me is not wide enough for two cars, the longer road is better. My daughter's sofa bed was not comfortable. Also, we had checked that we were travelling with pets, so I assumed I didn't have to pay any extra fee, but they said I had to specifically state in writing that I was going with a pet. If this is so, I do not understand why the ckeck box on the search page saying that we are travelling with pets. No problem in paying the extra fee but the property owners should be clear on this.
“Amazing place, surrounded by beautiful nature. Charmful and historic place with great staff.”
The staff is very helpful and amazing. The breakfast is jummy. The whole complex is charmful. It's great to sleep in place with so long history. Surrounded by beautiful nature.
The only thing is be prepeared to ride 1,5 km forest road, which is maintened very well, but can be tricky for low-suspended cars.
