“A wonderful value that both budget and upscale discerning travelers will appreciate.”
The location was perfect. Across the street from the Plaza Abastos, hence the name, and just down the path from the main Plaza. We literally could not have asked for a better location for visiting and getting to know Carmona. The hotel was a former convent and the inner courtyard was beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was nice, with coffee, cereal, yogurt, fruit and a variety of breads to toast with yummy toppings. We were also invited to stop by in the afternoon for a coffee if desired. Our room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed and a very nice sized bathroom with a shower. We had no issues and the rooms were made up daily. Antonio and Sandra were genuine, personable, honest, friendly and loving. We stayed 10 days and we were always met with a smile and friendly greeting. They always had time to either help, answer questions and many times to just chat. The cleaning staff especially Sara, were also friendly and helpful. The hotel is family run and it shows in all of the best ways. We felt a real sense of sadness to leave a place that in such a short time really began to feel like home.
It is difficult to say what could have been better. The pool each season needs to be serviced, painted and generally prepared for the summer season. Due to unusual amounts of storms and both wetter and colder than normal weather, this process started later than normal. The pool was just getting filled on the day we had to leave. However, we are looking forward to returning soon and getting to experience the pool in that setting.
“Interesting but not Elegant”
Fantastic old building in the heart of old town. The building has several courtyards,a well, high ceilings with carved beams, handwrought iron work. Lots of open space to chill out . They had no problem storing bikes inside safely.
Old buildings are funky, and you have to be willing to put up with that. Bed and bath very clean, the rest... clean enough. Road noise on front rooms pretty bad. Breakfast was enough to get us on the road, but not much more. Many stairs to bedrooms may be a challenge for some folks. It is an interesting place to stay, but not elegant.

“Value for money”
Location is great, close to the centre of town. Free parking 5 minutes walking distance. Lovely old building and nice reception. Breakfast included in the price.

“It’s a real palace in the heart of Carmona, with many patios and salons. Although the room facilities are quite humble (no wardrobe, and the room size is small), we really enjoyed the staying.”
