Quite a few ants around the apartment even when we cleaned

Unfortunately, the accommodation does not have air conditioning. It was very hot, making it impossible to spend time indoors comfortably. Although there were ceiling fans (one in each bedroom), they offered little relief. The fan in the smaller bedroom was was poorly secured, wobbling, and making a lot of noise. I was worried it might fall. When I reported this, I was told to use the lowest setting, which did reduce the wobbling slightly, but the airflow was inadequate. The apartment appeared clean at first glance, but the inside of the kitchen drawers were dirty, as well as under the beds. The cleaning could have been much more thorough. The was significant noise coming from the apartments above at night-time (people & plumbing).
