“Beautiful, but not exactly quiet place”

The best

The little house was quite nice, more luminous that the pictures let us assume. The host was very kind and friendly. The mountains all around are amazing for trekking and cycling.

To be improved

If you are a light sleeper, you might have trouble in Quentar. There is a lot of dogs, and I say this as a dog owner and lover, the incessant barking is almost impressive. A loud barking concerto, from dusk to dawn, with encores all through the day.

The best

Beautiful location. And wonderful outside area. Cosy living room with a wood burner on in the evenings and a great base for hiking. I met lots of nice people and felt like a home.

To be improved

I didn’t find the men’s dorm very comfortable to be honest, quite dark and little air flow. I never had a good sleep. I think new pillows wouldn’t go a miss. I initially extended my stay because I liked the peace and quiet of the location but I left early because I discovered bed bug bites one morning after feeling itchy during the nights. I informed them immediately and they responded very promptly and carefully and cleaned the bed/mattress and room. These things happen and it’s no one’s fault, but the reaction of the hostel was good. They didn’t ask for payment for the night and offered for me to use the facilities to sterilise my belongings.
