“A nice apartment in an ideal location with everything within easy walking distance.”

Comfortable, clean and on the edge of the old town. The location means most of what one would want to see in Girona is easily accessible on foot. It is ideal for a couple or a family with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is secure parking in the underground garage on site. The apartment is light and airy with plenty of space. There is a 300 euro security deposit to pay in advance online. I'm pleased to see it was repaid in full a few days after we left the apartment.

To be improved

It is on the third floor or fourth if you come up from the garage, so the climb is only for those with reasonable fitness since there is no lift. If you book this apartment, make sure you arrange with the keyholder/administrator to meet you at the rising bollard that restricts vehicular entry into this part of the old town. You need a remote control for the bollard. Unless you are lucky and someone has just entered or exited you won't be able to drive through without the remote. We were lucky. The keyholder was at the apartment and gave us the control. Perhaps the administrator of the apartment - a company in Barcelona, WinHost - should ensure the guest is forewarned and the keyholder thinks about how the guest will access the area if the bollard is up! It ain't rocket science!

“Amazing apartment, fantastic location”

The best

The location in the old town is incredible and gives the opportunity to really feel the atmosphere of the place. Having an underground secure car parking space is very useful as I would recommend to do a few road trips to the neighbouring villages and towns. One point to note is that the entrance to the car park is along a narrow street, so a large car could struggle to get through (just for reference, I had an Opel Corsa and that was fine). Would recommend visiting the market that is only 15 minutes on foot from the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. The hosts kindly accommodated a very late check in, by using secure lock box, the process was easy and had good instructions. Would definitely recommend to all and go back again myself.

The best

Terrific apartment in the heart of the old town. Huge amount of space. Full kitchen. Two bathrooms. The parking garage is in the building (which is unclear). Getting a car up there is not the easiest, but if you're used to European old town driving you'll be fine. The folks handing the keys and check-in are very friendly. Checking out was very easy.

To be improved

Although the parking garage was in the building, this was unclear from the materials, including even the very detailed printed instructions with photos that they gave me at check in. Eventually I found it, right in the building, LOL. No bikes allowed in the apartment, but they provide a rack with a lock to store them in the parking garage, which itself is also secure with a garage door. Can fit only 2 bikes there on the rack. The only other nuisance was the they key pick up is about a 10 min walk from the apartment location, but I did not have to return the keys at checkout. Just left them in the apt and closed the door behind me. Lots of stairs, so the apartment is not a good choice for old/infirmed.
