Garden Cottage at Casa Madden

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Casa Madden, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning views and tranquil atmosphere. Jane was a wonderful host, she gave me tips for restaurants and other nearby places to visit. The location is perfect for people who enjoy a quiet atmosphere by the beach.

Suprisingly calm area, in borderline of Dunes of Artola (natural reserve). Nice beach walking distance. Restaurants walking distance. Truly welcoming owner. Comfortable appartment, with all You need, lovely veranda, lower terrace, and beautiful garden. We also enjoyed upper terrace with seaview. Ideal accomodation for those who love relaxation by the sea.

I had a wonderful stay at the Garden Cottage at Casa Madden from 13/6/23 to 23/6/23. It is a beautiful apartment with a very spacious double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, large shower room, comfy sitting room with dining table and such lovely views of the beautiful garden and sun patio. The cottage has everything you need including plenty of storage (lots of clothes hangers) and lovely home touches (letter table, paintings, cushions, etc), that give it so much character and make you feel at home. I travelled alone and found everything I needed within walking distance – the nearest beach is a very nice 10 min walk away and supermarket approx. 20 mins away. I don’t drive but it was easy to explore further afield using the local buses and taxis. You also could not wish for a more lovely, attentive and welcoming host! Jane is so lovely, was always there to call on if I needed anything and made wonderful recommendations for where to go shopping, pilates classes, restaurants and the like which certainly made my holiday. Welcoming, generous host, beautiful, peaceful location, comfortable accommodation. I was unwell for a few days during my stay, but my host kept an eye on me and made sure I had plenty of water in the apartment. My host's lovely dogs and cats were a bonus. I loved it when they came up to say hello.

The Garden Cottage where I stayed is a little piece of Heaven, a home from home with its own ground-floor terrace and garden. From the roof terrace above the property can be seen a conservation area of woods and sand dunes, with boardwalks leading to the local beach and further along the coast. My lovely host, Jane, could not have been kinder or more attentive. It would be useful to have a car, but buses for Fuengirola and Marbella and beyond stop regularly on the main road which is only a few minutes' walk away. However, it should be said that the only sound to be heard from the property is the sound of the sea. The aim of my holiday was to relax, go walking and read some books between visits to local friends in the area, and this was a perfect base for everything.
