Comfortable stay with friendly host.

To be improved

The weather was poor and the hotel is geared for outdoor living so we weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor spaces. The bathroom wouldn't dry well, an extractor would help. You need transport to get to most restaurants.

Very easy to access and everything just worked perfectly. Nice breakfast with very personal service both making fried eggs and giving us a thorough guide of what to do to explore El Hierro

The best

Good value for money. The room was clean. The breakfast was OK, basic, good value for the money we paid in total.

To be improved

We had issues with the room access code. When we arrived, the provided code didn’t work so we had to get in contact with the staff. She changed the code and afterwards it worked. The door keypad has issues with some of the numbers, they cannot be tapped. The staff were aware of the situation, but still they assigned those numbers in our door code. So it didn’t work. On the evening before departing we again had issues with accessing the room, as the code expired 1 day before our departure. We had to contact the staff at 11 PM at night, and after 10-or so calls, they answered and managed to reactivate the code. Not very good experience with the smart lock

“Quaint and clean hotel with an excellent location”
The best

The location is very close to some major attractions in the island.The host speaks good English and is super helpful. The quaint boutique hotel has several levels (no elevator). The “small double room” (the only option we had) is very small for two people and is facing the street. Fortunately there is very little traffic before 8am when it’s dark. The breakfast (from 8:30 to 10) has all the usual foods like deli meat and cheeses, bread, scrambled eggs, fruits and drinks.

To be improved

If only we could have a larger room and the scrambled eggs could be less dry and overcooked. Street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time of the day. We had better luck between 7-8pm when people drive away for dinners.
