The apartment is in a prime location, very close to main attractions, yet in a quiet neighborhood. It is tastefully decorated, and has all the necessary facilities - a dishwasher, a washing machine, an oven, a microwave, a coffee machine, TV... So it's very comfortable that way. They also provided some complementary toiletries and supplies, however only enough for 1-2 days. If you're staying longer, you need to get some of your own groceries/supplies. We could check in slightly early, so that was comfortable as well. They sent us some places where we could store our bags, for a fee of course.

To be improved

The apartment smelled a bit damp and musty when we arrived, so we had to open the window and the balcony door to air it out. I'm not sure when they last did a pest control, but we had several cockroaches, in the bathroom, the living room and one crawling on my arm at night when I was asleep. They had a cockroach spray under the sink so I'm assuming this has happened in the past. I sent messages along with pictures to the host and someone came and fixed an insect strip on the main door. But the roaches were not coming from outside. So before the next guest arrives, I hope they get a thorough treatment for bugs and insects. It's unfortunate that this was our experience, but besides this, it is a lovely place to stay.

Proximity to the vieja ciudad and Santa Cruz, and to bars and restaurants. Nicely furnished apartment.

To be improved

1. No local luggage storage after check-out, and lack of communication from Genteel-Home when trying to arrange this before our holiday. 2. Only one set of keys! 3. Bedroom a bit cramped. I had to duck under the TV to get to the window side of the bed. 4. Shower smelled of sewage after use!

“Impeccable clean, quiet, central and well-equipped apartment”

The best

Impeccably clean, quiet and super central apartment. Communication with the host the host was great - our flight was delayed so we were able to jump on to Whatsapp and keep the host updated. They were always quick to reply and were waiting for us at the property when we arrived, to hand over the keys. The host also sent us a few recommendations for sightseeing and eating/drinking in the city. The kitchen was well-equipped and we really appreciated the inclusion of a coffee machine and a few pods to use throughout our stay.

To be improved

This is only a VERY minor complaint, but with the exception of one day when we showered pretty early around 07:30, the water in the shower was only luke warm. We assume that there was only a limited amount of water in the tank for all apartments to share (hence why I had super hot water when I showered early), but as we travelled in winter, we would really have appreciated a super hot shower regardless of time of day.
