They made us feel stressed about meeting them at a specific time and being a bit short about it. The reason we booked the place was that it had a pool but the key didn’t work and they ghosted us when we were trying to get it resolved. We never got to use the pool.

Communication with Genteel Homes was very poor. Despite spending $1000 on our accommodation, they refused to provide us with more than four coffee pods. There was also no detergent for the wash, so it was not exactly a perfectly equipped stay. The person who showed us the apartment also had zero clue what was included in the stay; he didn’t know where the washing machine was! In addition, I asked about parking in advance of our stay - they didn’t tell me that there is tons of free and/or cheap street parking all around this location, so I unnecessarily paid 30 euros to park in a lot. They basically weren’t helpful at all! When they won’t even give you an extra coffee pod that costs a few cents, you know the company is cheap!

The apt needs to be painted

Aparment is not as clean as you could expect from the pictures; walls, carpets and furnitures have got a lot of dirt and it seems that they have not attempted to clean those. Also the cleaning was not something that we expected, it was poor. The bed linen and towels were quite old, they were washed but not clean, after we mentioned about that next time we got a bit cleaner ones, but we got them only few days before leaving. For us it was too noisy; the Aveneau Ricardo Soriano is very busy also at night and in addition barking dogs in same building. Biggest disappoinment for us was the balcony door locking system which was broken. We mentioned about that and it took two weeks to get it fixed and at that time we had to carry all our valuables whit us, there was no safety box in apartment and we were not able to lock the apartment balcony door.
