Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Overall, guests had a very positive experience and would return.
Great location noted for proximity to the beach and local amenities.
Staff were friendly and attentive across various reviews.
Facilities are top-tier with a well-equipped gym and pools, though pool rules were inconsistent.
Generally clean and well-maintained but noted minor issues in some guest reviews.
Food quality was rated highly, but some experiences with dining services were mixed.
“Lovely hotel”
We arrived very late (due to those horrendous queues at the airport) and without asking we were immediately offered a meal. The dining room was closed but a table for two had already been set up with a nice meal and our own attentive waiter. I've never experienced that level of service anywhere else in the world, you usually get a shrug, sorry you're too late. Any time I had to go to Reception the staff were smiling and professional. The suites are great. the food is very good, there is always a wide variety so you will always find something. The Asian night was exceptionally tasty. After breakfast you really won't want anything else before dinner as again, there is greet selection, but being on holiday we indulged elsewhere for lunch. It's a wonderful hotel for young families. Ignore the comments about food in other reviews, they're exaggerated.
“Great kid-friendly hotel but falls short of a five-star rating”
This is a really lovely hotel and I completely recommend it to families with young children. We chose it for the facilities and location. Unfortunately the hotel shut most of the facilities during our stay (pools, football/basketball, courts etc) but on the two days we did use the pools I couldn't find anything to fault them by. Some reviews have said the food at the buffet was lukewarm but we never found this to be the case and we had HB for 6 nights. Lots of variety and very kid-friendly. The rooms are large (though a little dated) which was fortunate when nothing was open at the hotel. This leads me to my only grievance with the hotel. It was a struggle trying to find out what alternative/substitute activities had been set up in lieu of the pools/outdoor games. At one point, a band of parents had to convince the animation team to open the kids play areas and even then we have to take things into our hands a bit. Another thing that was extremely disappointing was the go-kart track. There was only one broken cart the whole time we were there. This was a huge selling point for us to begin with and I had even emailed with the hotel prior to booking as my son was extremely keen. Looking at other reviews it seems it's been this solo broken cart for a while. Whilst customer relations was reasonably quick in responding to me during our stay, they did not give us the information needed and we missed out on one small window of opportunity to use the pool in between rains (The pools get locked and guarded when weather is not ideal). There were a lot of leaks at the hotel but luckily they did not affect our room. What I would say is in good weather, this is a fantastic hotel but even then I would not give it five stars. If you are looking for 5 star Ikos, Lopesan Baobab or Melia Paradisus etc, this is not it. But if you are looking for 4 star, clean, kid-friendly fun and good food near local amenities, I would very much recommend this the GF Victoria.
“Excellent family hotel”
We spent 4 days in GF Victoria & overall we were impressed. Centrally located in Adeje close to the beach, shops & restaurants it’s a great llocation. as for the hotel it’s clean, modern & the staff area really nice. Our room was spacious, comfy clean. We booked Bed & Breakfast for the 4 days and the breakfast had a huge selection catering for every need. Our son loved the kids area, the pool slides, football, tennis, table tennis & crazy golf all well kept & perfect for kids. Overall we had a great stay & will definitely be back.
“Only compliant”
It was our second stay, the hotel, staff and food etc were brilliant. Our only compliant is why have an adults only dining area, an adults only bar (Sky Bar is lovely) yet no adults only pool. There are two other fairly large pools geared to families.
“Not for Couples”
We stayed here as a couple for a week in mid-March. The hotel is very modern, with whitewashed walls and sadly lacks character, as it feels too clinical. There is no ‘wow’ as you enter the building. It is ideal for families with small kids and caters mainly around that group. This is definitely not the hotel choice for couples. We stayed while the kids were at school but we failed to consider families with kids under school age, which as it turned out represented about 90% of the clientele. As part of our stay, we got 1 hour free spa experience, but we left after about 40 mins as the water in the main jacuzzi area was lukewarm at best and the steam room was chilly and didn’t have enough steam in it. It’s a ‘bio spar’ which I guess uses an environmentally friendly heating method (which doesn’t work). We visited the rooftop bar for sundowners but realized that the sunset was obscured by the neighboring hotel (the Gran Tacande) so thereafter we went to the Tacande hotel rooftop bar for our sundowners. If we visit the area again we would stay at the Tacande as it’s much more suitable for couples and is better situated to reach the upscale restaurants along the oceanfront at the rear of the hotel. It also has a wow factor throughout and has much more character than its neighbour. The JOIA hotel next door would also be a good choice. We spent time in both hotels and they were both superior to ours. The best restaurant experience we had was at La Torre del Mirador along the upscale playa del duque promenade. It’s booked solid every night and needs reservations in advance. Long trousers are also required. On our last night we experienced the ‘Scandal’ dinner show which is held at the Victoria. The venue and the production quality is excellent and the athleticism of the performers is outstanding. Spoilt by the involvement of a drag queen and other men in high heels. Entertaining but basically soft porn. The food and drink served was good. Horses for courses, but it wasn’t our cup of tea.
“Best hotel in Tenerife for families!”
Absolute must go for families! They have everything you could want - heated pools, slides, surf machine, park, football court, mini golf, ping pong, tennis, climbing activities, indoor clubs, teen room for gaming, kids clubs, shows at night…. Everything!!! The breakfast is incredible and you can find something for every taste. They also have a kids part at breakfast where kids can play in an enclosed park. Absolute 10/10 for someone who’s been to Tenerife over 10 times over the last 20 years this is the best hotel by far. We did the family spa session also - a whole room and spa with a jacuzzi and sauna for a family - we had so much fun! We walked everywhere for dinner with walks ranging from 10-20 mins. With a 3 year old and 10 year old. Was a lovely walk. Lots to see and do on the way. Highly recommend welcome India (18 min walk), oriental slow boat (12 min walk), Harley’s (25 min walk), and if you want something a bit more fancy la Torre del mirador was lovely and an 8 min walk! Have the best time if you choose this hotel!
