Hotel is conveniently located, only a short walk or taxi ride to Caleta de Fuste.
Staff are friendly and work hard to ensure a pleasant stay.
Good facilities including pools and entertainment; some minor issues with cleanliness.
Rooms are dated but clean, with towels changed regularly.
Generally a pleasant stay with highlight on friendly staff, though some areas could improve.
Offers good value for an all-inclusive stay, despite some areas needing improvement.
“Globales Antigua”
Just back from 3 days all inclusive, pool had a leak so while being repaired most of the visitors were put into other hotels which suited us as we had the run of the place. Staff were super attentive, checked us in early and let us use all facilities after we checked out. Room was clean with a nice view, would deffo go back although would avoid busy times as I do anyway. Food was ok but I understand they couldn't do a full spread just for a handful of clients, place was virtually empty.
“You get what you pay for…..”
You get what you pay for..! This was a budget trip for us last minute. The hotel itself is decent enough. The staff were the best part of it and deserve every euro they earn! Some ‘guests’ were obnoxious pigs and the staff handled them brilliantly (even though they shouldn’t have to put up with such idiotic behaviour). The food was decent enough, always had specials on and we always found a meal to be had. The pool was lovely…really, really cold but the weather wasn’t particularly kind when we stayed. The biggest let down of the hotel was the lack of space in the bar. Every evening you’d get your usual crowd who bagged the seats super early, every single night. For the size of the hotel, the bar size is laughable.Entertainment in the evening was non existent. Best thing was to go into Caleta, a 4 euro taxi ride away. The hotel’s location was pretty rubbish as there’s not a lot around it. But Caleta was nice - and walkable if you chose. Oh, and if you end up with one of the ‘bungalows’, take air freshener or buy some as they absolutely reek of drains. All in all wouldn’t go back there and have never passive smoked so much…..but it’s cheap and (sort of ) cheerful.
“Honest real review”
Food was great here. Drinks great. Gym poor selection. Room unclean. Pool large but freezing and chipped/untidy. Reception area dated, about 4 seats and had a smell which put me off immediately. Atmosphere quiet chilled. Staff friendly. Location middle of nowhere. I wouldn't recommend. It may be cheap but was not cheerful. We asked to move hotels due to pool work going on which nobody was told about. Moved hotels and was very happy in the end.
“Dirty from under the beds to the patio doors. Desert sand beyond.”
We were given a used room with pubic hairs in the sheets. Wiping around the bath revealled a yellow scum. The duplex appartments are dirty. We dont mind dated or old but like clean. We had waited 3 hours for our room to be cleaned. The cleaners dont use sterile products. They just move dirt and dust around. We were given a new room at 9pm which had clean sheets but the surfaces were filthy. One cup again. We asked reception to upgrade. 90 euros got us in the main block which is white but the filth under surfaces was the same. Otherwise a nice room with big tv, full size fridge, comfy beds but dirty on surfaces. Outside surfaces were dirty because of sandy rain. Anyway, pack a mop otherwise enjoy the good food and drink and the kindness of staff. The hotel shop sells bleach! Hopefully the Hasmat suit sanded pool will be ready for the end of the week. Terrible management, liers in reception, untrained cleaning staff, lack of cleaning products. Unaccountable management that send mesages through admin and berate you for their inadequacies on google reviews. Place has so much potential but it is not cleaned inside, with the exeption of public areas. A blot on the Globales name! We will not return to this dirty hotel
“It’s a shambles”
Main issue is that the pool is closed for construction , it was obviously pre-planned work but they didn’t inform any of the holiday providers and messaging to guests when the pool closed was very unclear and not very helpful. There’s blue dust everywhere and it smells like gas walking through the hotel. Aside from this, the food was pretty horrific, would not recommend. Drinks were fine. Only positive was that it was so bad it gave us a good laugh
“ITS A BUILDING SITE”
No pool as they are renovating it. Whole place is a building site with silica dust everywhere. EasyJet have refused to relocate people but jet2 have relocated their holiday makers. Don't come here.
