“First family holiday to Mallorca”
This was a family holiday and our first time at the Globales Parma nova, A massive thank you to the animation team for their hard work and enthusiasm. My son Harrison didn’t want to leave! The hotel was very clean and we didn’t have a problem checking in or out. There was a good variety of food for everyone during our stay. The location was fantastic as Glof Fantasia was right next door and it was a five minute walk to the beach. There was plenty of evening entertainment, remember this is an all inclusive. We didn’t use the VIP/adults only because we had our son with us but it looked amazing. Overall, this was a lovely holiday and we would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely holiday. :-)
“Not best for couples”
Not 4 star .. overall the hotel was ok but it definitely is not 4 star. Arrived to find room not ready ( ok I can accept that as check in was from 3 pm). Lift was painfully slow so we ended up lugging 2 heavy suit cases up to the 3rd floor. The room was nice but on closer inspection still dirty I ended up cleaning tea stains off the wall myself which then ment I went and wiped other surfaces down. The cleaning did improve over the week. We realised that night the walls between rooms were paper thin. We were next to a young family whose youngest ( about 3) was screaming the place down most nights at 3am!! I am a Nan so I don’t mind kids but this was a joke I realise kids on holiday can be difficult but every night and the parents didn’t seem to be bothered about it.. this is not something I wanted to hear… lesson learnt will be going adults only next time… The food was normal all inclusive type so I would say it was acceptable. But the dinning room is more like a cafeteria and really nosey with tables to close. We had the VIP upgrade which was worth it as it was adults only. Palma Nova is a nice resort and I would recommend using public transport to go into palma and other destinations on the island..but if u want a peaceful break don’t stay here.. but I suppose if u have a young family it’s ideal
“A decent hotel but very poor food standards”
This hotel is in a great location and very reasonably priced. The majority of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pool area is good with plenty of beds available, albeit we were there early in the season. The rooms are a decent size and were clean when we arrived, although the cleaning throughout the time there was less than adequate, a quick change of towels - one of which was heavily soiled when we came back, make the beds and a wipe of the sink seemed to be all that was done for the week. There's a few slight negatives that we were already aware of prior to arriving; the walls are indeed paper-thin, more so than I could have imagined - listening to people singing, blasting music, and having sex at 2am on the first night was night ideal. The lifts really are as small and slow as in previous reviews, for the size of hotel they absolutely need upgrading as you can stand there for 10 minutes plus waiting for a lift to be empty enough to get into. The queues for drinks at the pool bar can be long due to the token system in place to reduce plastic wastage. We completely agree with the system and commend the hotel for trying to reduce wastage but the system could do with tweaking to reduce wait times. The big issue for our stay was, unfortunately, in the restaurant. For the most part, there was a decent selection of different foods and a good sized room that was only once full where we had to wait a few minutes to get into. A lot of the food was a decent standard but they often struggled with the basics, pasta being extremely undercooked and still crunchy one evening for example. The big concern, which left me personally struggling to go back and eat from the hotel was a few nights in. I went to get some potatoes from the buffet when I noticed a cockroach crawling into the potatoes, it quickly settled, assuringly dead. I went over and told the chef (Jose) who was on the hot plates, he came over and seen and his response was that the food in the dish around the cockroach would be perfectly fine to eat - not that he knew what it had or had not touched and also an appalling response. He continued to tell me that the food was okay and encouraged me to take some, which I refused, he walked away muttering something about scooping it out - I think. I went back about 10 minutes later, there was less potato but the cockroach was still there so I went and found the manager on the front door, who I have to admit, had been amazing for the full stay, and brought him over. The cockroach had disappeared in the minute or so between me seeing it and speaking with him, I can only assume someone unknowingly scooped it onto their plate. He was shocked and said he would get the food changed, which was quickly done and should have been the initial response of the chef. For a chef to think it is acceptable to say to eat around a cockroach sat in amongst food and then just leave it there is disgusting and shows a complete lack of care to the health and wellbeing of the guests. I have worked in hospitality previously and, personally, I do not think that someone with that attitude should be working with food. Sadly, despite the many positives this hotel offers, I would never step foot in their again due to this issue.
“Cockroaches🤢”
Cockroaches🤢 avoid! Not the vibe.
“Average 3 star hotel”
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in March. Ideally located on the edge of town but within distance of the beach and main shops/bars. The hotel was clean and the staff all appeared efficient and pleasant. The food was a bit repetitive but the quality was ok, however the wine available was absolute rubbish. To call the dining room a restaurant was unrealistic, it is more like a cafeteria with tables crammed in and it was always busy. The pool area was clean and you could always get a sunbed but there did appear to be a few sunbeds in need of repair. The snack bar staff were very efficient serving drinks and despite a que forming the wait for a drink was always minimal. The quality of the local drinks available were acceptable. However, the cold food at the snack bar was open to the birds to feed on, very unhygienic, this was not helped by some guests electing to feed the seagulls. The hotel was very noisy with very poor sound insulation throughout. Noise from the public areas and entertainment area transmitted up the stair well and there was a lot of noise from adjoining rooms. The cost of a room safe was 41 Euros for 7 nights- ridicules Hard to see how this could be classed as 4 star, but that appears to be the norm across the Balearics and Canaries.
“Great Holiday, location, and staff.”
Me and my girlfriend along with 2 of our friends stayed here for my 24th birthday for a week. It wasnt our original hotel (other Globales hotel we had booked was still closed for the season) but i was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was very clean and modern, the staff were all amazing. We did have a little trouble with another guest while by the pool. He wasnt very happy with my transgender girlfriend using the single occupancy womens toilet (which was only occupied by our friend) and was very threatening and agressive towards us. Other guests were very supportive and kind but it still shook my girlfriend for the day. After reporting this to the manager, he was later that day removed due to their 0 tolerance policy for aggression and discrimination. The manager handled the situation amazingly and she clearly didnt take being talked down to by the guest. I would have liked some more options for food, other hotels ive stayed at just have more. The drinks were great. I would have loved some music by the pool but maybe its played in the summer. Overall our holiday was pretty good, always love the palma nova location, and actually went sightseeing this time.
