“No air conditioning despite description on booking.com extremely hot room”

We chose the hotel because it offered air conditioning, however it was not as advertised. The weather in late May was 26, and the room was extremely hot. We were told by an unhelpful receptionist that it was hotel policy not to have the aircon on in the hotel at that time of year and there was nothing she could do. No fans were available. Very poor nights sleep. Pity as the hotel was otherwise fine.

“Nice little find in the Basque country”

Really friendly welcome. Took time out to discuss local amenities and provided a map of local areas with guidance on how best to get about. Nice little restaurant/ pub attached to the hotel. Free on site parking available. Room was spacious, large tv and large bathroom. Fridge provided and ample storage space. Had a couple of supermarkets near by. Just a side note, buses did not accept cards on any service.

Unfortunately, air conditioning did not work in my particular room. Luckily, it was not too warm.
