Golden Taurus Aquapark Resort

We are a family of 3 & went last July '25. In a nutshell, a great hotel with staff, facilities & entertainment. Great pool activity for all ages, entertainment in 3 areas of the hotel every night & all staff throughout including the pools & aquapark brilliant. The Aquapark belongs to the hotel & is great, no queues & great fun, not to big & just right for all ages. The local town is about a 20min walk away with a local main st. 5min up along the main road for restaurants & ice cream parlours. We had a great time, you won't go wrong with this place. 👌

Another great stay, Very friendly staff. The restaurant has much improved, compared to last visit. Very busy with French tourist that stay for a few days only. Line up for the restaurant a dinner time, but it moves fairly fast. House keeping is slipping again, they do not have enough time allocated per room. (management problem)

Had a wonderful ten day stay at Golden Taurus. Highlights: - Quality and variety of food. The buffet differs slightly everyday with a few theme nights too. Grilled fish and meat available at every lunch and dinner service along with a variety of vegetables, rice, potatoes, salad, fresh whole and chopped fruit and puddings. Also available daily, and a favourite of the kids, is pasta with a variety of sauces, chips and pizza as well as the infamous ice cream machine. Breakfast has everything you could wish for including hot and cold offerings and a daily fresh omelette / fried egg station. - Entertainment was fantastic, everyday at set times there are various activities for adults and teens beside the pool and in the main pool, as well as on the multi-sport pitch. We didn’t make use of the kids club or kids entertainment but we heard good things about these too. The entertainment team are high energy and great fun. Evening entertainment varied from singers to magicians with a separate bar for bingo and karaoke, as well as a terrace with live music or large screen for national, international and premier league football matches - Pools & Aquapark. All are kept clean but can get busy. Access to the Aquapark is outside the hotel so you have to accompany little ones but a variety of slides to keep kids/teens entertained for an hour. - Staff: couldn’t do enough for us. Friendly and informative and great fun. - Location: you can walk over to the beach very easily and Pineda is a short ten mins stroll with some small shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Calella is a similar distance in the other direction and much bigger with lots more shops etc. Downsides: - meal times can get busy with queues forming especially at breakfast time. If you don’t have young kids and are keen to get to the kids entertainment, I’d recommend eating a little later or tables for larger groups can be harder to secure - Sun loungers are first come first served. Any later than 8am and it’s slim pickings by the main pool. More availability at the quiet pool but doesn’t get sun until later in the afternoon. Golden should really switch to a lounger allocation process with waiting lists for popular spots. - No gym…such a shame but you can get membership at a local gym in Pineda relatively cheaply

Lovely place great service and friendly staff very clean great time everyone was very helpful if you needed anything ..

Our room was clean and modern, with what felt like quality mattresses on the beds. Plenty of wardrobe space to store clothing and a large well equipped bathroom, overall the room looked newly refurbished. The room however did feel like it lacked finishes such as there needed bedroom mirrors and bedroom bins, and personally would have liked a reading light by the bed. We found the food to be good quality and tasted well cooked, and the restaurant staff were lovely and attentive . There were plenty of options for myself, but for my friend, who I travelled with, due to a dietary allergy, she was slightly restricted, and for dessert she often had to pass due to no option, but will say allergens were well displayed on each dish. When going to the bar, the service was a little slow, and found the reception staff to be inattentive. We were disappointed that the waterpark was closed, we only discovered this after we’d secured our booking, and that the air-con had been turned off, as the weather was still hot, and didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with windows open (did get bitten my mosquitos) this did make some nights uncomfortable. would have also like a hotel map on arrival to show where everything was, and the names of the bars. We did hire a car and on arrival was told it was €10 a day to park at the hotel, or we can park at the free car park, which was 300m back down the road. We took the free option, but make sure this is added to your room keycard as you need this to access the car park, not sure if it’s a fault but when leaving the car park the barrier doesn’t automatically open and had to get my passenger to open the barrier by putting the keycard slot as if entering. I did feel parking at the hotel should be included especially as the hotel carpark was always empty. When we went to the pool there was always plenty of sun-beds (although this could be due to time of year, late Sept/early Oct), and we found the pool with the closed bar quieter, as the kids club was by the other pool, but felt the pools in 2 different place was good for choice of relaxing or active. Overall we had a lovely time, and a few minor annoyances did have too much impact on our holiday.

Stayed at the Golden Taurus after watching a view YouTube uploads from “Rob on holiday”. Found the staff among the friendliest in any hotel I’ve stayed at. Bar staff work so hard and always smiling, shout out to Kinga and the girls and guys. Restaurant staff great too. The animation team provide lots of activities for little ones and adults, connecting with the kids really well. Room was lovely, overlooking the quieter pool. Both pools are in perfect condition with the more active pool well planted with a variety of palms, bird of paradise plants and cape daisy among others. There is a warmed pool inside the building on the floor below reception area. We loved this hotel. If there is only one suggestion, it would be more variety in the food over the course of the week, otherwise they have it running perfect here. The manager was always on hand, making sure things were running smoothly. An hour before we were due to leave a client fell in the bar next to me, whom I helped attend to as I’m a nurse. Staff response was excellent and care arranged quickly allowing me to step away. We loved the location, being quiet, but a short walk or bus ride from Pineda centre, where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Beach is across the road. You can walk along beside the beach to Calella (approx. 30-45 minutes, with its old town charm. Or you have beautiful Blanez in the other direction by train (cheap). We like travelling to different places, but would consider coming back for sure.
