“Awful - Stay Clear. Pictures Misleading.”

I do not normally write reviews or complain. But this is a must. The room I had was on the ground floor. It is 2 meters wide by 3 meters long, a prison cell in Spain is 9 meters square, this is 6 meters square, excluding shower area. The shower and toilet were nice, the room was freshly painted. The window is beside the bed and has see through curtains, your body can be seen by anyone walking to their room or by the neighbours on the top floor. The bed was good but the pillow awful. You cannot use it to sit against the wall as it was filled with lots of bits of foam fibre. The pool is seasonal and this excludes May. The pictures are very misleading as they do not show the whole pool - 3 strokes and you hit the edge. It’s the size of a large jacuzzi. I parked my car in the only place possible, approximately 50 meters away. On walking to and from the place I had to pass an enormous aggressive dog (like a turkish kangal) barking excessively and jumping up against the gate trying to attack me. I have a large gun dog but this was really scary even for me. For non dog people I have no words to explain it The room made me feel very claustrophobic, anxious and unsafe. It is the only unrelaxing and tense experience I have ever had in all my years travelling various countries. I did not sleep well at all. I have travelled the coast of Spain from the Portuguese border to Valencia visiting nearly every beach and staying in various types of accommodation. Why the owner chose to put a single female on the ground floor with see through curtains is beyond me. I did not contact the host to explain this as I wanted to leave as soon as possible. I booked myself into another hotel via booking.com and left as soon as I did this. This is the first time in my 64 years I have ever had to do this.

The best

The host kept in touch throughout the self check-in, which was very good. The property & pool were very clean. Quiet area, fair distance from the beach and shops.

To be improved

There was only 1 plug in the whole room that I could find, which was needed by the small fridge so charging the phones was a bit tricky.
