Very spacious bedroom and bathroom with large outdoor terrace. Kettle in the room and fridge. Staff were extremely helpful.

The second room we were given was very good and comfortable.

To be improved

When we arrived in late evening we were put in a room which was obviously not ready for guests. There was only one bath towel and one hand towel, and the shampoo and conditioner, had obviously been used previously; the toilet roll was a used one and also there were none of the items, other than the used shampoo, that were supposed to be in the bathroom. On top of that, our door to the terrace did not close properly. On going out onto the terrace we found that there was another door leading to the corridor, which meant that, although the door was locked, anyone from the hotel could open it and walk into our room. On the plus side, when we informed reception of this, they straight away put us into a much better room, with all the advertised amenities. Our question is, since the hotel was obviously not fully occupied, why weren't we given the better room in the first place, instead of a room which was so obviously not ready to welcome guests?
