The best

Price/value ratio was good. Apartment was clean and matched the description of the listing. Beach starts pretty much from the building's doorsteps. Host seemed nice and friendly.

To be improved

Outside life gets quite loud especially during Friday and its quite audible when you are attempting to sleep, trash collecting truck seems to come around around 24, every night. Only Windows in the apartment are in the bedroom and due to how low the apartment is blinds are probably closed most of the time. Kitchen had everything promised but especially pan was quite scratched and pan lids were missing. Water heater was so rusted that we chose not to use it. Shower pressure was quite poor when attempting to get warm water.

“Perfect location, helpful and friendly host, clean but issues with sound isolation in the building.”

The best

The host Manuel was very helpful and friendly. The apartment is fully equipped: fully equipped kitchen with stove, cooking equipment, dishes, teapot etc. washing machine. I needed one kitchen item which Manuel bought and brought almost directly. The apartment is in a very good location- just open the door and you are literally on the beach. 5 min walk to HyperDino supermarket, there is another one even closer, but it was smaller. 5-7 min walk to the nearest bus stop, many good restaurants and concert hall is nearby. The bed was comfortable and it was clean in the apartment, except for a couple of glasses, which I had to wash myself before using.

To be improved

The only thing that bothered me was the sound isolation in the building. A woman with a small baby lives next door. The baby was crying a lot, and it literally felt like they were in the same apartment. One could hear every conversation next door, every TV program they were watching etc. Same thing with the street - one could hear every car passing by. It seems that this issue is common in many buildings on Gran Canaria. I noticed that there was no air conditioner in the apartment. I didn't really need it as it was not too hot, but in the summer time it could be a problem.
