“Can definitely recommend, and, for Donostia-San Sebastian, good value for money”

The best

We were a bit worried about the accommodation being out of the way, but it was actually completely perfect - only a few meters from the smaller beach in a lovely little neighbourhood, and only a 15-20 minute pleasant walk from Old Town and most other attractions. Donostia can get very busy, and we loved the peaceful walks on the mostly empty beach in the morning and the walk home at the end of the day along the promenade. The accommodation itself was nicely renovated with a personal touch, spacious with modern amenities, quiet, with heating, and a small outside space into the courtyard as well as a spot for surfboards and wetsuits. The bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful.

To be improved

The apartment is on the lower floor so there is no balcony and it's a little dark - but that should be clear from the property description. It didn't bother us, and in fact makes the place quite cozy. The mattress of the sofa bed (pull-out couch) wasn't great but definitely bearable. Some kitchen staples (tea/coffee, oil, spices) would be nice.
