Great family-oriented experience with lots to do, overall highly recommended despite a few minor issues.
The hotel's proximity to the sea and quiet surroundings have been positively received.
Facilities such as the pool, sauna, and activities were positively noted, though the water temperature in the pool was a concern.
Rooms are generally described as spacious and comfortable, although some are a bit dated.
Overall, the price paid was considered worth it based on the amenities and services provided.
“October Break”
Visited the hotel as a family of 10 (3yrs-60's) during the 4th week of October. We had a great week with lots to do for the children, the entertainment team were great keeping everyone occupied and entertained. During our first few days the hotel seemed half empty, it was great! It did fill up towards the end of our stay but it was still fine. We had adjoining 1 bedroom apartments which the youngest loved wandering between rooms. They were a little dated but perfectly clean. We were in block 4 the furthest away from the pool etc. lovely and quiet. We had no issues with the food in the buffet restaurant, always something tasty and different each night, the choice was a little limited, it did seem as though some sections were closed off as the hotel was winding down for winter, but that said the chef was great, out checking everyone was fine and happy with the food. We were lucky with the weather for October, we had some great sunny days. Fantastic hotel for a holiday with children, been there so probably wouldn't return (like to try different places each time) but would definitely recommend it as a family holiday.
“Great stay at this hotel”
Staff at this hotel are fantastic, Very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the room was ideal for the four of us. Great place to stay if your not bothered about days out as the entertainment staff are great and there are things on all day. Food was spot on and restaurant was always clean and tidy. Overall well worrh the money we paid.
“Great late summer destination”
The hotel resort is very nice, well maintained with great facilities including swimming pools, sauna, steam room, gym, bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always on hand to assist with anything. The food is tasty with plenty of choice including the Tapas restaurant which you can use once during your stay as part of the inclusive package. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the team make them up each day. The nearby beaches and harbour are very good, the sea is clean and clear with plenty of fish to be seen when swimming. The bars and restaurants in the town are very nice and reasonable prices.
“Absolutely Brilliant!”
October 13th to 27th. Arrived at hotel at 12 noon hoping the room might be ready, it was, great start. Requested before going, a high floor as I am a very light sleeper, facing South. Got a middle floor as guessed the hotel was quiet and nobody was put on the top floor. It was facing South and was perfect. Paid extra for a suite so had a living room and kitchen as well as bedroom. All facilities you could expect in a suite were in there. Reception staff exceptional. As got bracelets, as were all inclusive, (as well as pools towels) on check in we were able to go straight to lunch after drinks at the pool bar. Everyday the bar staff were great, and we never had to wait long, mostly getting served straight away. Tried a lot of the drinks available free to us. Vast majority very good, Amstel on draught and fizzy wine from a bottle particularly good. Only niggles, fresh orange, a couple of the cocktails and draught white wine not to our taste. The meals were excellent every day. We feared, as being the end of of season, choice might be limited. Not at all. A great variety every day. Even my wife who has moaned at other hotels repetitive menus in the past, praised the choices available. Too many good things to mention, but, must say, when on Sunday, Yorkshire pudding, roast meats and vegetables were on, my wife was in her element. For me the Spanish dishes were the high light, and also when I found out you can request your own pizza, I requested a seafood one which was perfect. All staff in restaurant very professional. The head chef especially so. Plenty of pools and sunbeds, plenty of tables both in and outside, variety of entertainment and activities day and night. Activitiy staff great. Tui reps. great. The hotels location is a 4 minute walk to one beach and the port, where there are lots of bars, shops and restaurants. An 8 minute walk to another beach. There is a unmade path between beaches with little 'coves' with very small beaches with enough room for a few families. The sea when calm was clear and perfect for snorkeling, I saw 6 different types of fish. Our room was cleaned everyday, new towels supplied when needed and was quiet. Even the air conditioning wasn't too loud. Had a good night's sleep every night. I cannot fault this hotel. We had a fantastic two weeks. We didn't have kids with us, but saw lots having a great time and I would recommend it for those with or without.
“Great family holiday hotel”
Great time here with the family in an exceptionally well managed hotel by all the team. The restaurant manager was very caring for my daughter in law with her coeliac condition and deserves special credit for his support.
“Not a Real Tui Blue!”
This is our 3rd Tui Blue hotel and we were so disappointed with this hotel and would not return. £2000 for a 1 week holiday to live in accommodation that is far removed from home. Having to fight over food and receive poor service. The hotel needs to have a rethink of its staffs attitude. Save your money and go to Butlins! Rooms - A helpful and friendly reception team . Arrived to a room which absolutely stank of damp and humidity. It transpired that all rooms smelt the same. Initially masked by cleaning products. We upgraded to a room with a bit of lawned area outside for an additional 70 euros which gave us the outdoor space we wanted but the shower tray had dropped in the shower cubicle and the tiles next to the shower controller were peeling off the wall so the water was sinking under the floor and through the wall into the wardrobe behind which made this room smell even worse. We moved again to a room with an upgraded shower and it flooded the bathroom floor every time you used it! The beds are comfortable but that really is all I can say that is positive. The whole space was worn out and with chipped granite kitchen surfaces and everything being beyond tired we would grade this as a 2/3, never a 4 star. You also have to pay for the safe in your room and 1 euro every time you want to change your pool towels. Dietary Needs - Two of our party could not have dairy, hence why we booked a Tui Blue Hotel, the 3rd Tui Blue we have visited and by far the absolute worst. We had to complete an allergy/intolerance sheet and were told that we had to liaise with the head waiter, Alvar. What a complete waste of time, he told the chef we were vegan, incorrect, we could not have dairy and so had limited offerings all for over half of the holiday until we spoke to the chef directly and he explained what he had been told by Alvar. There could be no misunderstanding as the allergy sheets are purely tick boxes with pictures of what you are allergic to. Alvar is uninterested in his job and could not care less about guests. He said that other guests were happy that their children could have sorbet and not ice cream all summer so did not see my problem when my 4 year old wanted ice cream. A pretty normal thing for a child to want ice cream. Thankfully Sidi the Head Chef eventually corrected this but over half way through our holiday. He also then provided dairy free yoghurts and made dairy free pancakes and cake. Which is exactly what other Tui Blue hotels do without the fight every day with an obnoxious head waiter. Overall the restaurant waiting staff barely smiled or interacted unlike other Tui Blue hotels. The chefs and kitchen staff are the only plus point here. Jatri is so lovely and Head Chef, Sidi is so welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Adriana who also works in the restaurant ensuring the food areas were topped up and clean was also so lovely. Just a shame that all of the other staff could not be like these 3. Food choice is great and we enjoyed all of the meals and the themed meals, we never used the other restaurant as we enjoyed the buffet so much. Head Chef Sidi takes pride in his themed evenings and welcomes guests himself. Which is lovely but surely that's the Head Waiters job! The snack bar is not the best but it really is just for snacks. We used it once but it is so limited that we did not go again. Drinks - Standard in most all inclusive hotels. Machine pumped coffee, sickly sweet juices that taste like chemical infusions, there's no freshly squeezed orange options at this hotel unlike other Tui Blue's. Alcohol is all local bottles and cocktails are available but this is no cocktail bar. The one thing we did adore was Sangria on tap which was very nice indeed. We took our own oat milk but they did supply local milk alternatives. Pool - The pools are lovely apart from the missing tiles with sharp edges in the baby pool and the fact the pools are not heated and absolutely freezing cold. The sunbeams around the pool were plentiful but mouldy with black mould and needed cleaning in all pool areas. We ended up going to the beach most days which is only a good 5-8 minute walk away dependent on how fast you walk. The sea was even warmer than the indoor pool. The pool rules are also pretty hard core, you get given a copy when you check in. No inflatables allowed at this family Tui Blue hotel? "The hotel strongly warns that the use of inflatables is a danger for kids safety" I had not realised that they allowed goats at the resort!! Entertainment - Well, all I have to say is Wow. The energy and effort into every performance is fabulous. It's exhausting just watching them. I cannot praise the entertainment team enough from the daily activities through to the night time shows. The external act that also came in one night was also brilliant. The team are always smiling and enthusiastic. Their energy is infectious. The rest of the staff at the hotel could do with some lessons from this team! They make you feel welcome as a family and ensure that children are all included. The shows were good quality and the children loved having their photos taken with them afterwards. The entertainment does start late but this appears to be the same at all of the Tui Blues. Health and Safety - When in the restaurant one day a family had an accident where a child had boiling coffee spilt on them, the Head Waiter was asked for a cold ice compress and returned with a wet piece of kitchen towel. I got involved and asked him for ice in a sealed bag so we could ice the area immedlately and he bought it in a cloth napkin, then leisurely walked away making no enquiries about the accident or child and never notified anyone else. I then got the manager to ask for a bag of tied ice in a cloth and was told that they did have first aiders but they could not help. She also advised the Mother of the child to put aloe vera gel on the burn. Absolute appalling management of this as the body area needed cooling for 20 minutes with running water or something very cold to help cool the under layers of skin. The parents never had an accident form completed or anything and the Head Waiter, Alvar, just walked away and could not have cared less. Location - We liked the location, catch a bus outside to visit local areas by yourself. The beach is a 5-8 minute walk away. There are some beautiful little coves if you get to the beach early that you can have to yourself. If you want a sunbed at the beach, bring lots of money as they average at 25 euros a day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. Local shops nearby, although expensive. The harbour is a 10 minute walk and is surrounded by places to eat and drink. Tui Reps - Andrea was the lady we mainly spoke to and she was just wonderful. She was realistic, as helpful as the Tui brand will allow and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Her colleague, who's name I have lost, was also so lovely. Tourist Tax here is Government lead at a rate of 3.30 euros per adult per day, under 16's are free.
