“I liked the place, and if I have another trip to Alicante, I’ll definitely keep this place in mind.”

The best

- Communication with the host. Claudio explained all the conditions of the stay and also recommended a café for breakfast (Deio Coffee). He also gave advice on how to pay for public transport (it’s cheaper if you buy a card and top it up with trips). - Good internet (5G). - Cleanliness. - The paintings ;) (in room #3). - The mattress was quite comfortable for me -- not too firm.

To be improved

- You can't use a washing machine at the accommodation (But this is not a big problem on trips, usually). - There’s also no option to cook full meals. A microwave is sufficient for heating up most food. Additionally, an electric stove is available, but one of the frying pans has a damaged non-stick coating, so it’s not suitable for frying, for example. However, all of this is clearly stated in the listing, so it shouldn’t be a surprise if you read everything carefully. - The pillow felt unusually hard the first night, and I had trouble falling asleep. Though maybe it was just the excitement of being in a new place. Later, I discovered that it was most comfortable for me to lie on the edge of the pillow when turning onto my side. After that, I slept well on it every night. :)

The apartment was clean and not too far from el centro. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants very close. Claudio is a great host and will make you feel welcome.

“Comfortable stay in Alicante”

The best

The place is located in a relatively quiet area of Alicante, and the bed was very comfortable. The room had everything I needed - places to store and hang clothes, a bedside lamp and sockets near the bed. The place is also located a 2 min walk from two bus stops from which you can easily catch buses into the centre of Alicante. I also had no problems at all getting to sleep at night. Apartment and all the rooms (including the showers) are clean and well-maintained

To be improved

The tap water is technically drinkable but it can give you a sore stomach unless your stomach can handle a lot. Fortunately, however, there is a supermarket (Consum) located 3 minutes walk away where you can buy bottled water. Also, the apartment is located on the second floor of a building that has no elevator, and the staircase is quite narrow, so you will have problems if you are carrying heavy luggage.
