“A nice stay!”

The best

Very clean (a priority), comfortable beds, friendly front desk staff, and the property overall resembled the photographs and met our basic needs. We really liked the neighbourhood -- a bit away from the tourist crowds downtown which is a nice reprieve, and very quiet and safe, but still with lots of lovely restaurants and bars. The metro is very close and easy (and it is also possible to walk to the centre if desired). Good value overall, and would recommend the hotel.

To be improved

The room was lacking a few basics, especially in the kitchenette. For example, there was no kettle or coffee maker (the only way to make coffee was with pods), no cutting board, no drying rack, and no paper towel or hand towels. The heating rack in the bathroom didn't work, and limited places to hang towels. I had been told the room would be cleaned on day 4 of 9, but that didn't happen (they texted to come in on day 7, but I was out and offline). It was all ok, as I was able to ask for clean towels and toiletries from housekeeping directly and didn't mind not having sheets changed, but seems a bit odd for something billing itself as a hotel to not have some more frequent housekeeping. Wifi was a little spotty at times but usable overall.

“Spacious room, excellent services”

The best

A cozy hotel located in a former monastry. I had a spacious room with a big bed and a large entrance hall. Cofee and tea machine included, large cupboards. Toothbrush and paste offered, no need to take from home. This hotel has no problem with the space! Large corridors and relaxing areas with armchairs and coaches. The window isolation is not great and I could hear the cars outside but Burgos is a small city and there were not many cars passing at night.

“The hotel did not refund our bond €100”

The best

THIS HOTEL DID NOT REFUND OUR €100 BOND - They advised that they would perform the transfer of our bond upon our departure but did not. Within calls and messages over the ensuing weeks and months they stated that they would until they eventually stopped answering my calls and what’sapp messages. Very frustrating and a waste of time and energy trying to get our bond refunded. I recommend any future customers be wary of the promises of staff of having already transferred the money. They had not. Eleven months later we are still yet to recieve the money owed.

“Friendly staff, but that was about it”

The best

Front desk staff was really friendly but the room was dirty, kitchen not well equipped, cockroach in our room and loud neighbors. Housekeeping staff was trying to be friendly with my toddler but it made him feel uncomfortable when a stranger (who spoke in another language) was in his face and even touching him.
