“The most amazing stay”
We arrived at the hotel 4 hours before check in time so our room wasn't ready however we checked in and put our cases in the luggage room. Staff were so welcoming and helpful and you get a welcome drink on arrival. When we returned we had been given a free upgrade on the 7th floor and the room did not disappoint it was amazing. I have never slept in such a comfy bed and the room was really spacious and modern. We didn't eat at the hotel as we like to go out but the food always smelled delicious. There is security on the door and the hotel feels really safe. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anybody.
“ONLY GOOD THING WAS BUFFET BREAKFAST”
Worst hotel my travel agent ever booked me into do not stay in room 606 .We arrived saw kettle n tea bags , I phoned lobby to be told they don’t supply coffee sachets in the hotel . We were tired & hungry so thought we would put our passport etc in the safe , but the safe was not working so again phoned lobby’s 20 minutes later the maintenance man arrived fixed the safe . We then went to the restaurant to find that a private function Wes on , but were told this hope does hot serve dinner only breakfast . We could have a snack at the bar , we decide to go look for a restaurant but none anywhere close to the hotel , we are both in our 70;s so couldn’t walk too far it took us 8 mins of walking as my lady uses a walking stick before we found a place to eat , that was Burger King so our dinner consisted of a cheese burger . My lady wanted a cup of tea when back in the room so put the kettle , that didn’t work , so phoned the lobby asked for a new kettle , waited 15 minutes before a knock on the door thinking it’s the kettle , but instead of a kettle they brought a pillow , I had to beckon the housekeeper in and point to the kettle before she caught on 10 mins later we actually got a working kettle. Now it was bedtime when I like to read as there wasn’t a bedside table I had to put book and reading glasses on the floor before climbing in bed putting the reading lamp on , bulb was blown I read for a while before looking for light switches my side of the bed , there wasn’t any so as my lady was asleep I had to get out of bed to walk around to her side to switch the lights off . Next day as it was raining we had a vey nice buffet in the restaurant then from our room I again phoned lobby asking foe reading light to be fixed and was told we couldn’t be in the room when he fixed never saying why . After 4 times over about 4 hours he turned up , the same maintenance man who fixed the safe , so no way were we leaving the room . We were booked in for 2 days before our cruise as the wasn’t any unit with shelves only a wardrobe without shelves we had to leave our clothes creased in suitcase . The basic things expected in any hotel room were just not there in what is suppose to be a 4 star hotel
“OK but..”
The beds at hotel are great. The suite rooms are like a mini apartment. The standard rooms are OKbut coffee machine broke and had to move table as the lead did not reach table. There was nice good at restuant but felt breakfast was lacking something. Service by all was great apart from one waiter who was very sarcastic in tone and random negative comments especally with my elderly dad. I would not stay again as this attitude put a negative on being there unfortunately was going to cancel the last night as I no longer felt happy.
“Good location for hop on hop off bus routes....”
Six of us stayed in 3 rooms for 2 nights at the H10 Itaca following a Celebrity cruise. Sadly, our room was 505 which was extremely small & only had one bedside table. When i told the chap at reception he said "What do you want me to do about it?" but, despite the request for the other one, nothing was done. So using my suitcase upright as a bedside table the room had aircon, a comfortable bed, coffee making facilities, a fridge, a safety deposit box & a shower over a bath that dribbled a mixture of hot & cold water, whatever time of day a shower was taken. Breakfast was of good quality & reasonable variety. Staff at the front desk (apart from the man) were efficient & extremely helpful offering excellent suggestions for local restaurants. The hotel is well located with the nearest hop on hop off bus stop right outside (blue route), across the road (red route). The plunge pool on the ground floor was a welcome relief after a day out in the heat of Barcelona. Beware though that the garden bar closes at 11 & you cannot pay your bar bill with euros in cash, only with a card, despite the fact that they let you pay the city tax with cash ... inconsistencies.
“Great Stay”
Great stay. From start to finish we had a great break and amazing food/drink service with Dani. Perfect location, would stay again 100%
“Misleading and Disappointing Experience”
We stayed at H10 Itaca for less than an hour before leaving and booking a new hotel at our own expense. The room we were given was nothing like the photos advertised – it was tiny, cramped, and lacked the furniture and space shown online. The “outdoor pool” was only a few inches deep and not suitable for use, despite being promoted as a main feature. The hotel overall felt tired and rundown, with worn-out outdoor areas and a more hostel-like atmosphere than a 4-star experience.
