“Lovely hotel, lovely staff”
We stayed at this hotel for five nights, on our late arrival they was a cold buffet waiting for us which was unexpected and very lovely. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went the extra mile with us. Especially with our son who is autistic and has high needs to meet they couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is situated by the sea has some spectacular views and if you want the shops not far to walk to. The arrival was very welcoming and throughout the whole holiday we felt welcomed and valued, this means so much as this makes our stay so much calmer more enjoyable.💕 Entertainment every night so we didn't have to look elsewhere. The food was really lovely and different varieties to choose from. The rooms are clean and tidy and we had house keeping everyday. To sum up our stay was really enjoyable and we would come back again❤️ Thank you everyone X Hotel player 10 Tenerife
“Unhygienic”
Wouldn’t recommend. Hotel rooms- hotel room was quite small especially when we paid extra for superior rooms. Food - breakfast and lunch was very much the same everyday. Also myself, my husband and daughter ended up having a sickness bug which consequently ended with me having vomiting and diarrhoea for three days for the first time in 20 years, my daughter vomiting five times and my husband has now returned home and is still poorly. As well as that you could visibly see on the plates and drink glasses that they were not cleaned properly ( dried food and bits of orange juice were seen on supposedly clean dishes.)
“Positives and negatives overall good”
The Hotel H10 Tenerife Player Puerto da la Cruz Was in a prime position on the front promenade. Hotel was spotless clean . Stayed in room 340 . Spacious room with a balcony couldn’t fault it . Swimming pool area was nice with added entertainment Aqua aerobics of a day which was fun to watch . Not enough sun beds for all guess and the Usual same holiday makers leaving towels to come back later . Entertainment area of a night well thought out . Different acts each night but they did finish early 10.30pm but bar stayed open to 12 pm . Most NEGATIVE for me is the RESTAURANT & FOOD. The constant queuing for 10 minutes every time at breakfast lunch dinner was not necessary. The food was awful even though you had a variety it was often the same lunch time and dinner . It was either UNDER COOKED or BURNT. Often LABELS were either never filled out or completely missing so sometimes I didn’t know what I was eating and definitely was no good for people who had allergies problems . Drinks were all nice from Cappuccino and alcohol ones which I had ( Malibu baileys lemon cello ). Majority of staff was very polite & helpful
“We loved the area and the sea view room was very lovely”
The food was not good at all , we have stayed at many hotels all over the world but the food at this hotel was the worst we have ever had sorry to say , and no we are definitely not choosy people . One morning I went to get some porridge and could not believe my eyes the waitress carried some bake beans in and tipped them into the server dish next thing she spilled some into the porridge what was next to the beans next she stirred them into the porridge I just couldn’t believe it , every day same food chips , mashed awful potatoes meat was so tough and the chef cooking the meat , fish was a joke etc , well I have never ever had to write a review before. The rooms was very clean as was the hotel ok it’s dated but that’s not a problem, the view from the room was amazing and the area is lovely . It’s a shame I’ve had to write this but honestly the restaurant needs some serious attention with the food
“Good and bad points. Wouldn't recommend or go back myself”
There were good and bad aspects of our recent stay at this hotel. Starting with the bad. There were often not enough staff on reception. We had to queue for about 20 minutes to check in upon arrival, and queue again to ask about things during our stay. The restaurant was also under staffed with insufficient staff to clear tables and reset them.. This resulted in long queues to get into the restaurant for breakfast and for evening meal every day. There were also insufficient staff in the restaurant to take drinks orders, so it was sometimes difficult to get wine to go with the meal. The staff that were there were very friendly, and trying their best to be attentive, but they were clearly rushed off their feet. The evening meal food quality was poor, and dishes in the buffet kept warm on hot plates for long periods of time. I became very sick with food poisoning after eating in the restaurant one night, and I spoke to other guests who had also been ill. Now to the good points. All of the staff were very friendly and tried their best to be helpful and attentive, sometimes in difficult circumstances, as they were obviously under a lot of pressure. The hotel's location was excellent on the sea front. Our room (a junior suite) was lovely - spacious and kept very clean. Towels and bedsheets were changed regularly. The hotel's daytime activities and evening entertainment programme were fantastic. The bar area was lovely and staff in the bar very friendly and attentive. It was quite cold during our stay, so we didn't use the outdoor pool areas, but they did look very nice, had it been warmer. Overall, mainly because of the problems relating to the restaurant, I wouldn't recommend this hotel, or go back there again myself.
“Food needs improving”
We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights the hotel is beautifully situated on the promenade right opposite the sea gorgeous view of the Atlantic. we had a sea view room 708 we didn't have very good weather so I cant really say if the balcony gets the sun other than first thing. The room is comfy and clean nice shower 🚿 comfy balcony furniture..no kettle we brought our travel kettle with us. you can hire the safe. cleaners are good and friendly. All the staff that we came across were lovely but a huge shout out to Jonas in the bar who along side his colleagues work so hard...great guys. Entertainment was pretty good all round...restaurant ..well you have to queue which ive never known ever before ..so you queue for a table maybe 10 minutes the food is not very hot ...meat oh dear tough most of the time..im not a fussy eater but I struggled here ..presentation wasnt good either dishes looked picked over 😕 I was ill with sickness for 2 days however my partner thankfully escaped it. The food let's this hotel down im afraid needs sorting otherwise they will return guests.
