I like the environment the room offers, very relaxed, quiet and clean. Well organized for multiple guests with proper security measures
Not too much cutlery items, but otherwise we'll equipped kitchen. A locker for keeping things private and safe would be good inside the rooms.
“Passable”
Unfortunately, our recent stay at Galiroom was quite disappointing. Firstly, it wasn't mentioned anywhere that the owner actually lives there. So, we found ourselves in a house full of his stuff, such as razor blades in the bathroom, towels and bathrobes hanging everywhere, creams, and personal products all over the main bathroom. Occasionally, even students live there, so you should know that people are living there for long terms, which means sharing spaces with people who live there all the time. The bathrooms were often monopolized, leaving us to wait for a long time before getting a shower. The only time we took a shower was in the second bathroom, while somebody was showering in the main one, there was no water for both showers simultaneously. We were never able to cook there, because there was no space available to leave our grocery (since people actually live there and need their space), and because at meal times there was always somebody cooking making it hard to fit in the kitchen. The table in our room was broken - there was no surface so we could not put our things. It had been left in the room even if broken and we had to move it out on our own as it was useless. The room also had a broken window that wouldn't stay open, and the stairs to reach the bunk beds were broken, fixed with tape, hence unstable. On the last day, despite the stated check-out time of 1:00 PM, we were pressured to leave by noon, which felt unnecessary and rushed. The bathrooms were a hygiene nightmare, with the owner's personal items everywhere, dirt in the showers, and sticky floors full of dust, sand, and hair, including body hair and dirty clothes. The bathrooms were unisex, so they were shared by both women and men. Contrary to the advertised proximity to the beach, the location wasn't as convenient as expected, but it was okay.
“Nice place, not too far from the beach and old town”
Nice place. Clean, well organised. (I was also by myself in the 4-bed room which helped!). Location was in the newer part of the city with good services, but still walking distance ~1km from the beach and old town.
Check in required me to make a phone call and ask to be let in. No sign outside or reception area.
