The space

Nicely renovated house, very cozy and friendly, terrace with excellent view of the city. Nice and simple neighborhood close to the Alcazaba fortress on the hill - you can hike up directly from the house. Alex is a very friendly and good host, he lives there with his partner but if you are OK with a shared place (with private bathroom) this is an excellent choice.

There was no breakfast but it was not a long walk for to eat

The apartment was wonderful and the location was really practical and charming. We were really enjoying spending time on the roof terrace where the view to the city was splendid. Everything worked smoothly and easily.

Beautiful, clean, welcoming space. Alex is an excellent host. Great communication via what’s app, and very kind and gracious. Alex even ordered a kettle for the house when he realised we could do with one! The house was spotless, the bed was comfortable. Although our designated private bathroom was on the lower floor, we were free to use the bathroom right next to our room as needed. The rooftop terrace was a great place to catch the breeze and to have our breakfast. There’s a fridge in the third floor space, so you could have cold drinks on the terrace if you wanted too. There was also a washing machine! The clothes dried pretty fast on the roof in the sun, although it also had a drying function apparently. When we first arrived we were a bit taken aback by the location, as the streets looked dirty and there were no street signs. But we found the place without trouble and recognised the exterior from the photo we were sent. We never felt unsafe, and it was a quiet area. It ended up that it was only a 10 minute walk to the pedestrian street of Calle Carmen and Calle Puertas de Murcia, so quite convenient really.

Amazing host and a wonderful place. Highly recommend to everyone who's travelling to Cartagena.
