Alcazaba Beach Garden was absolutely beautiful, with manicured and landscaped gardens, Moorish architecture, adjacent to the sea, 9 swimming pools and 24-hour security. The apartment was also very well designed, so that the balcony and terrace were not overlooked.

To be improved

Kitchen could do with more mugs/large cups. 6 is not sufficient for British tea drinkers! We appreciated the one bottle of water, plus olive oil and salt left but for the money charged, we would have expected a slightly more generous Welcome Pack, especially if arriving late in the evening when most of the shops are closed and UK visitors are not allowed to bring food with them. Main problem was lack of any local information in the apartment. It wasn't until the last day for instance that we found there was one open route from the site to join the boardwalk as all the other gates needed passes. The apartment details state there are tennis courts and a fitness centre on site, but these are all padlocked. Every holiday rental we've been to in the past has a folder with essential information like the national emergency number, local doctor, dentist, nearest supermarket, baker, greengrocer. This would have made our holiday much easier.
