“Disappointed”

The best

Location was excellent, overlooking the sea and within easy walking distance of amenities. Parking was underneath and excellent too

To be improved

There were so many things that needed attention, kitchen cupboard doors, dirty crockery and cutlery - I had to wash all of it before I could use, light bulbs missing- had to buy in town, no tea towels - had to buy, the bath towels were small and very thin. I informed the property management company as we left. For the price I had expected a higher standard.

“Excellent location and stunning views of the sea.”

The best

We really enjoyed the breathtaking views of the sea, as the location is right by the promenade. The terrase was definitely our favourite place to eat, work and hang out and enjoy the view. The kitchen was very well stocked with all you could need for cookign and eating too, which we appreciated.

To be improved

We were here during a cold spell in late April, so the house was a bit cold. Thankfully, Ferran arranged for someone to come and fix the heating, so it worked out.

“Very lovely - we would definitely stay here again!”

The best

Everything! The seaview from the terrace, balcony and the main bedroom - super relaxing! The very close proximity (about 200m) to 2 beaches; many more were within walking/hiking distance if you’re up for a little hike on the beautiful coastal trail. The house was spacious and clean, the kitchen well equipped, even with a laundry machine. The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable (can’t say anything about the other ones because we didn’t use them, but they looked fine, too). The pool was very nice. The contact with the Hauzify staff was friendly and when we had a small issue they reacted promptly (special thanks to Ferran who was very friendly and also provided useful info about what to do in L’Ametlla de Mar).

To be improved

Not really dislike but if one insists on finding something to improve: There didn’t seem to be towels to dry the dishes. The dishwasher is not the best (some regularly dirty dishes came out still dirty). On our last day there was an issue with the door handle of the front door (which lead to us being locked out on the terrace ). Luckily we were “saved” very quickly by Ferran. Hopefully this issue has been fixed by now. If not, one should ALWAYS make sure to not close the front door while sitting outside without having the keys with you (unless the door is locked the door handle NORMALLY opens the door without the keys, but in our case something suddenly seemed to have broken so that the door handle became useless and the door remained closed). And one thing to maybe keep in mind: During our stay end of April/beginning of May Ametlla de Mar still seemed somewhat “sleepy” (restaurants/bars closing rather early). And the town itself is not the most exciting, but the coastline around it is stunning!
