“Stunning house in Northern Spain”

The best

Absolutely amazing house, we couldn't fault anything. Elana, such a lovely lady, was so kind and friendly, even though we had a bit of a language barrier, we managed with Google translate !! She took us round the whole house, which was massive, and the pictures really don't do it justice. Elana also welcomed us with a type of pie, a speciality of the area, made of tuna, which was very tasty, she also provided us with milk, tea and coffee, bananas and a few other bits and pieces. We mentioned there was no kettle, so she went straight out and bought one for us. Dishwasher, washing machine, cutlery and plates in both kitchen and living room, and also down in the garden room, so well equipped. We were a bit unlucky with the weather, but that's pot luck especially being in Northern Spain. The main point of our visit was to see my Son, Wife and new Grandson, as they live and work out there. Also beautiful garden with plenty of seating, some shade and an indoor area, very well equipped, and also had a separate fridge freezer. BBQ, hot plate, plates, cutlery, glasses, so no problem with taking things up and down stairs, apart from.washing them up. Also the house is not far from a beautiful bay with gorgeous restaurants, which we visited several times. I think the beautiful house made the trip perfect.

The best

Elena was a nice host, and the house is very well maintained. We really appreciated the welcome food and drinks, and the little details. Nice garden, although unfortunately the weather wasn't great for us to enjoy it.

To be improved

The house would benefit from another couch in the living room when more than two people staying. Location was convenient for us as we had family just around the corner, but it is a bit far from services (e.g., supermarket) so having a car would be helpful.
