Hesperia Bilbao

We organized a training, funded by the European Commission, and everything was perfect - the staff, the facilities, the food, the provided support and cooperation! I highly recommend the hotel.

We loved our stay at Hotel Hesperia! This is a wonderfully managed gem right in the walkable heart of Bilbao. Our communication with the hotel prior to arrival was excellent and checking in easy and efficient. The front desk staff was helpful with suggestions and directions (big thank you to Asier!) and well supplied with a never ending supply of city maps to help guide us. We included breakfast with our stay and we were very glad we did. Excellent coffee and a delightful array of delicious choices greeted us each morning. The dining staff is wonderfully efficient - and our hat is off to Steve, who seemed to be everywhere at once! We were also very pleased that the hotel manger, Monica Friera is on site and available. The Hotel Hesperia was a wonderful place to make our home base for the 10 days we were in Bilbao. We highly recommend this hotel and we absolutely stay again

Fabulous location opposite the Guggenheim. Walkable to the Old town, shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a supply of umbrellas to lend out. We paid extra for a river view and our room was on the top floor with a huge balcony.

This is a really good find. Right on the riverside for a stroll or run and a very short walk to the Guggenheim. We had a river room with Guggenheim ticket which was good value. There were lots of good touches. Water in the lobby, an extensive breakfast with a wide variety of Basque and other international foods and a really comfy bed. The staff were professional and helpful and the building is very distinctive as well. All in all highly recommended.

We had an okay experience. There are photographs on the hotel website that are misleading. The staff speaks English reluctantly. Give one very little information. The parking garage is very expensive. The fact is that the parking is cramped and limited. The parking bays are tiny and the garage is dark. Not like the picture online. The rooms are adequate and with the air conditioner - loads of mould on the ceiling. The breakfast is great with extensive selection with large well used coffee machines The in house restaurants are not recommended, the meals just warmed up and the staff - not friendly.
