“DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE”

I stayed there for one night and left to start the camino the Santiago on the next day. My backpack was a bit heavy so I decided to leave some things in the hostel locker. I searched for someone at night and in the morning but there was never someone there. Right before I left the cleaner came in and I asked him if I could leave my things there. He said I could leave for as long as I wanted. Going back to grab my things after the camino and nothing was there. I called the number and was told to come back the next day because my things were locked away somewhere else. The next day I come back and receive a different bag with only my Kindle and my earphones. When asked where the rest was I was told by the cleaner that he came in and my undergarments (left in the bag) were on the floor my Kindle and my earphones were scattered and the bag with my clothes were gone. Feeling sad and violated I left. Later I went to turn on my Kindle only to realize that it was disconnected to my account and put back on factory mode. After the initial shock I started to racionalize that it made no sense for this alleged thief to grab my bag, look through it and throw my underware on the floor, grab my Kindle, connect it to the internet, take the long process of putting it back on factory mode only to than go back and leave it where it was found and steal all my clothes. Feeling having being lied to I called the number again. I was met with instant aggressiveness. The person I talked to, who I suppose is the owner, said I should be glad to have receive what had value back and that my call made no sense. When I tried to explain and told that the story that they were telling made no sense she got defensive and repeated the ladder. By the end of the call she told me that my things were not her responsibility and that, in her words "if I wanted my panties taken care of I should have paid for a locker down the street". “Perfect location, 15-20min walking yo everywhere around the centre! Close to the bus and train station, you can be in Avilés or Gijón in 30min. · Cons: The place looks waaaay better on the photos than in reality. Very old building, each step makes noise, you can hear everything in the building since the walls are paper thin. I don't feel like 2 bathrooms is nearly enough to accomodate everyone in every room. Found some hairs in the sheets that didn't belong to any of us too.”

Perfect location, 15-20min walking yo everywhere around the centre! Close to the bus and train station, you can be in Avilés or Gijón in 30min.

The place looks waaaay better on the photos than in reality. Very old building, each step makes noise, you can hear everything in the building since the walls are paper thin. I don't feel like 2 bathrooms is nearly enough to accomodate everyone in every room. Found some hairs in the sheets that didn't belong to any of us too.
