Hilton Mallorca Galatzo

Lovely Hilton Hotel in the hills overlooking the coast. Stayed here in a great family room - be sure to get a higher level floor if you can to get the views. Swimming pools , sun terraces and pool bar were all great and you could have food there too at lunch. Would recommend a car to get out and about for dinner at night. Overall a lovely place for a short stay in beautiful Majorca Xx

Great location on our first visit to this hotel. Giselle and Nataly were both excellent. Super helpful and such a friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We are planning to return next May with a couple of friends. Thank you

The location set in the hills is perfect as it is away from Peguera. The suite we had was very private and as a Diamond member was upgraded to this; the view was stunning. Cleanliness of the hotel was a high priority and our room was serviced impeccably. The grounds and gardens were exceptional. Breakfast was ample with lots of choice and the bar staff very friendly. We used the adults only pool and here I would say was the let down. Several broken sunbeds; the white decking damaged and could have been cleaner. At the bar both mornings we used the pool area were dishes and glasses and waste food left from the day before which is not a ‘good look’ nor is it hygienic. Fix these issues and you have the almost perfect staycation!

Arrival was ok. The bell boy wasn't keen on taking our luggage, with good reason! Two lots of steps, a walk, a lift, a walk, a further life going down 7 floors, 17 steps, last lift then another walk! So choose your room carefully, The Residence is an irritating distance. The room had no mini bar but was clean and very quiet. This hotel is sited on a hill so beautiful views. Quick taxi 7 euros to Paguera which has loads of restaurants! There is no A la Carte aat this hotel! Tapas in the bar or buffet restaurant 40 euros pp. Entertainment poor, one disco and one set of girl singers who were not the best! Sat and Sunday night football matches, hell for me. Breakfast was not great for us. The pastries all similar, mostly chocolate. No real variety. We struggled to find something we liked. No service at all although its supposed to be 5*. We also exhausted the small pool menu. No service at the pool, you had to go to the bar yourself. Nice location, more like a 3 star hotel. They're is an adult pool with pool cafe but again steep steps to get there! And come away.

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with my review. That's why it's a bit long and probably won't be read all the way through. In my opinion, the hotel is so bad that I have to write a mini-novel. New issues constantly came up that made you think, "This can't be true." The cost per night isn't low, and you think, "Okay, it's a Hilton," and you're willing to pay it because the name is associated with high-quality hotels and quality has its price. But here, nothing adds up. Room Let's start with the room. The Junior Suite I was in doesn't deserve the name. The only thing it was, was big. Nothing more. The drawers hung crooked in the furniture, and the refrigerator, which contained a broken pack of old ice cubes, slid out when you opened the door. There was no hot water in the 'kitchenette' area. The cupboards there were empty except for a few small insects. I nearly fell out of the side of the bed because the mattress was so worn out, and there's an unpleasant smell in some rooms. An employee even confirmed the smell. The air conditioner was leaking in the room, and apparently not for the first time, because as you can see in the photos, the wall is already warped and peeling. And this is sold to you as a Junior Suite. I'm simply appalled by the conditions there. The paths are sometimes endlessly long and winding. We met an elderly couple along the way who were trying to use used dishes that guests had placed in the hallway to find their way to their room. The rooms in the main building might be better, but the Lighting House annex is, in my opinion, awful. There were stains on the table in our room from the previous occupant, as well as on the wall above the light switch by the bed. We cleaned the one on the table ourselves with disinfectant. There were also brown marks from previous guests in the toilet. The carpets in the hallway are full of stains. We had already read some negative reviews beforehand but couldn't imagine it was as bad as described. However, it was worse. Even the door lock fell off during the week. Additional Costs The absolute shocker is the fee for room service (see photo). 75 Euros per person! WHAT?! That's incredible. Not even the Sheraton Mallorca has that, and it's truly beautiful and luxurious. Paying seems to be the standard here; the double beds with canopies on the lawn also incur a 40 Euro per day fee. You should also note the photos and the condition of the loungers. Restaurant You also experience a lot in the restaurant. At breakfast, I was surprised by a pungent smell, and when I bit into my roll, I noticed a disgusting taste. The butter was rancid and smelled awful. When I pointed it out, the kitchen replaced the entire butter supply at the buffet, at least that's what the waitress told us. After that, I lost my appetite. Both at breakfast and dinner, we and other guests repeatedly put plates and bowls back at the buffet because they still had food residue and, although they were on the stack of clean dishes, they weren't clean. Often you are assigned a seat first, and then, when you point out that it's still dirty, it's cleaned. One day, a kitchen employee dropped the tongs for the salad on the floor in the restaurant. She briefly wiped them on her apron and put them back with the salad. Originally, I wanted to go back to the Sheraton because I felt very comfortable there. But then I wanted to try something different. After the first night, I wished I hadn't taken the chance. Conclusion My conclusion: I absolutely cannot recommend a stay at this hotel. Even the beautiful view of the sea and the palms by the pool can't redeem anything here. The employees are doing their best, but they also can't cover up the poor overall condition. The value for money is completely off. The price is at a luxury level, while the quality is at best three stars. Ultimately, everyone has to form their own opinion and decide whether they want to spend their vacation in such a facility.
