Be aware that key collection is about 20 mins walk from actual apartment. From the airport you go past the apartment towards Soho area (towards the port) and then back on yourselves to the apartment. However, we arranged for our daughter to collect the keys on our behalf which saved us the time. Note that the apartment is NOT on the 3rd floor. You end up trying to get into somebody else's apartment! Upon key collection , you are given a sheet / flyer. Note the small print at the bottom "Things to consider" as it will give you more detailed instructions on how to find the apartment. Just be warned that traffic noise is quite loud at night especially the scooters and the recycling truck which comes at 1am in the morning. I understand that this traffic volume is not unusual for the city and for apartments that overlook a 2 lane road. So, if you're used to city living then you'll probably be used to this. If not, then it's just another experience! The floor lamp in the living room did not work so that needs fixing. Kitchen tap is wobbly. Needs fixing. The remote control can be used for Netflix but we couldn't change the volume with the remote control. Is there another control? We couldn't turn the oven on - can someone check this ? In summary, these were all relatively minor issues for us as they didn't dampen our holiday!

Keys to be picked up quite far away.

Malaga is a very, very noisy city. We found that the quietest hours were between 2am and 6am otherwise there was constant noise. The roadside rubbish and recycling bins were also emptied in the night between 1am and 4am. Very noisy especially if it is the turn of the glass recycling bin! These bins are located almost immediately under the flat windows.

The way how the apartment is operated is a bit clumsy but it still works- first you have to go to the office in order to get keys and only then can head for the apartment. The only negative issue I had was upon arrival- the lady explained me upon checking in how to find the apartment but in fact it’s not like she said. There are no signs in the ground floor about Escaleras 2. So, I logically just took the elevator to correct floor and apartment. Rang the naighbours bell as I couldn’t open the door. A guy went out and started to yell at me in a way that the walls were shaking. I truly can understand him as every second day some Airbnb tourist appears in the back of his door. I really don’t believe that anyone ever has found the apartment according to the given descriptions.
