“Not the best experience. Dirty, other people’s hair very noisy”

Property was dirty. Hair in the bathroom and on one of the bedsheets. Very noisy, you can hear everything from the street and neighbouring properties. Gulls start at 4:30am. No soap in the shower. Advertised as having parking but this was a 7min drive away given all the one way streets.

The best

Great location — just a 2-minute walk to the city center. The apartment is recently renovated, very clean, and was well prepared before our arrival.

To be improved

During our 4-day stay, the main issue was the dampness. There are many air fresheners placed around the apartment — when we arrived, we didn’t understand why there were so many and put them all away in the storage room. After that, a strong musty, basement-like smell became very noticeable. Half of the apartment is literally below ground level — it’s a semi-basement unit. The bed and clothes in the back room were constantly damp, and this was in the middle of summer.

“Perfect apartment with a great host.”

The best

Beautiful ground floor apartment near the heart of the city, but in a quiet street. Our host, Paula, was super responsive, and gave us lots of good local information. The apartment was spacious, clean, very well appointed, including a really good coffee machine. We were very happy.
