It was badly smelling in the kitchen ( we couldn’t decide it was the fridge or trash bin). And about the check in. We have been there at 13:00 , asked about early check in. The staff said it is not possible, the we said ok, we’ll wait till 15:00. The staff wrote us the message that till 19:00 they couldn’t come and bring the keys. We had to get to their office and took the keys. So sad about this situation.

I was still unsure whether to write this review or not. We were among the unlucky few: we arrived in Barcelona on the very first day of the blackout - April 28th, 2025. We had agreed with the host in advance to meet at the property at 4:00 PM. Due to the blackout and massive traffic jams, we got there at 4:20 PM. No one showed up. Two more hours passed - still no one. Luckily, I managed to find an internet connection, and guess what? The hosts didn’t even try to reach out to us. Instead, they calmly shared the contact of another person, saying, “This guy should bring you the key.” I was like, really? How am I even supposed to contact him? WTF? Of course, the guy wasn’t responsive, and I ended up begging the apt representative on Messenger to help us - we were traveling with a child, it was already evening, and the temperature was dropping. Finally, the person agreed to come. She was supposed to arrive in 20 minutes, but showed up in over an 1 hour or so. And the cherry on top? On one of the final days of our stay, we had a plumbing issue in the kitchen. I texted the host about it (just in case) and clearly informed them of the hours we’d be at the apartment. And can you imagine? We walk into the apartment - and the plumber is already inside. No prior notice, no permission, and all our belongings were there. I would strongly recommend the host not only focus on guarantee deposits, but also care about their guests and the quality of service they’re providing.

Although clean, the apartment was old and worn with marks on the walls, dirty upholstery on the chairs and broken accessories in the bathroom. No wifi during the whole stay and no duvet for the person sleeping on the couch (although requested). 1 small wardrobe and no suitable space to leave/unpack your luggage

The only negative is the apartment could do with a bit of freshening up. It was super clean though.

Nowhere to put my clothes. Not a wardrobe or even a chest of drawers

- Hot water super rare. Takes 10 minutes to heat up. No water pressure. - unannounced 350€ creditcard deposit - 40€ late checkin fee - silverfish in the bathroom
