“A peaceful retreat in a stunning location”
We booked Hoposa only six weeks before traveling, hoping for a relaxing short break in the sun. The photos looked amazing and the reality is even better as the views over the north coast of Mallorca are stunning. We went for a superior sea view room which I highly recommend. The hotel is full of character with beautifully tended gardens and a pool with a great view. Staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is superb with so much choice of fresh food including cava! We ate there four times and while menu isn't large, the fresh fish and excellent steaks are delicious. One one occasion, a staff member - Barbara - ran the restaurant alone for an hour because her colleague had gone out into the dark to rescue a solo guest who was lost in the mountains. The downsides are due to the location: it's the mountains and there are hairpins to reach the hotel from Soller, and the road can get busy - I would not go in summer. The rooms need a refurb - they are nice and well equipped but a little refresh would help. The restaurant is a stunner - beautifully styled with incredible views. We breakfasted on the terrace overlooking the pool until the days cooled a little. It's only 15 minutes to Soller, Deia and Valdemossa. Having seen the outrageously expensive hotels in Deia I would far rather stay at the Hoposa. Highly recommend.
“Paradise in the Tramuntana Mountains!”
This place is hands down amazing! I always make myself crazy choosing a hotel that checks all of our boxes but does not break the bank. Look no further- this one is it!!!! We stayed for 6 nights to enjoy the NW Tramuntana mountain region. The location is great in that you are only a few km from Deia, Valldemossa, Soller and a short 45 minutes from Palma. I will say that if you are a nervous driver, all of the roads are very windy and narrow and there are TONS of cyclists and buses everywhere so it's a bit hairy to drive. Get a SMALL car. Also, there is nowhere nearby to walk to but we were OK with that. There is a bus stop right at the top of the hotel hill that will take you anywhere easily. The front desk team, especially Monica and Tomeau, were so nice and helpful. A few days before arrival, they sent an email with a helpful list of all nearby things to do nearby- The vibe at the hotel is super chill and we loved the adults only thing- no screaming kids! We planned one day of just hanging at the pool and relaxing and it was divine. There is a trail head right there that takes you down to the sea - 15 minutes and easy hike. When you get down there there is a sturdy ladder to help you get into the sea. it felt like our own private cove! You can also hike to the famous Cala Deia in 45 minutes. We ate at the hotel restaurant 2 nights and it was lovely. The views everywhere are spectacular - great sunset spot. Spring for a room with a balcony and a sea view balcony if you can. Avoid the rooms right next to elevator. They are way too small and you can hear the elevator. We loved Room 229! Book your room here now!
“Memorable.”
We had a great holiday in Costa D’Or. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a very calm and peaceful hotel. Great location ,quaint access road and car park so the smaller car rental is more suitable. Extremely welcoming staff throughout . Super pool area with plenty sun loungers and also Access for sea swimming a bonus. Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was exceptional. Choice , presentation and setting were memorable. Can’t wait to return.
“Wonderful”
We loved this hotel. Stunning views of the ocean and the mountains, super peaceful and beautiful unobstructed views. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The ocean view from our sea view room was unparalleled.
