“I felt so welcomed in a perfect location! And that mattress...🩷”
The best

The LOVELIEST staff! So sweet, so attentive, so accommodating! I felt really welcomed. One woman even helped me with my luggage. The hotel has a lot of character...high ceilings, balcony doors...I really knew I was in a classic building. Solid walls, so I didn't feel like my neighbors and I were spying on each other. It's very clean, and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. The shared bathroom was kept spotlessly clean. The location is amazing....literally around the corner from the beach! Lots of bars and restaurants around, and the bus station is walkable. I also liked the sitting areas. I would have loved to stay longer, but there were no rooms available.

To be improved

A light over the sink in the room would be wonderful! It was a little hard to see, though I really appreciated not having a harsh, bright light at night. I can't bear that! But...I couldn't see very well when I was getting ready. And there's one thing that is no one's fault but just life...the street noise was...a lot. If I wanted to open my windows for air, there was construction during the day across the street and people at bars and restaurants in the evenings. After about 1 AM it got very quiet, though, so sleeping was fine. But I had to close my windows, so a small fan would be welcome in summer.

A warm welcoming with 24hr reception staff, a lovely old building nicely decorated. A comfortable room with a shared bathroom which was always immaculately clean.

To be improved

It’s an old building with creaky doors and wooden floor boards and old plumbing so sound will travel. But also comes with a great location for the town and at a reasonable price, so I would stay again.

A perfect stay in a great location in Gijon. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, the bathrooms modern and always clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Wifi connection is good, too.
