Hospederia de los Parajes

There was a different atmosphere in the small lobby of this hotel upon check in. It was lively and warm for such a small town and cold day. We felt like we were being greeted into Chari and Andrea's home more so than a hotel. Our room was immaculate and gorgeous. It is clear that no expense was spared in the fixtures, furniture, and artwork that adorns the rooms and common areas. It leaves you with the impression that this is a labour of love more so than a business. Chari's presence, seemingly at all hours, reinforces this idea. Dinner at the Los Parajes was of a high standard in quality, preparation, and presentation. Roberto offered excellent suggestions from an extensive wine list and provided attentive service throughout the meal. Andrea was very helpful in arranging transportation to surrounding wineries and guiding us to what Laguardia has to offer. It made for three wonderful days in this lovely town.

This is an incredible hotel in the heart of Laguardia, which I highly recommend as a place to visit. Beautiful interior. One of the most luxurious baths we've ever had. And the view of the central plaza was perfect for viewing all of the 6/24 celebrations.

I truly enjoyed our stay at Hospedería de los Parajes! The room was charming and spacious, the breakfast excellent, and the staff exceptionally kind. While exploring the Rioja area by bike, I lost my wallet — and the wonderful team at the hotel drove several kilometres to collect it and return it safely. We had a fantastic stay at Hospedería de los Parajes. During a cycling trip exploring the Rioja region, my wife lost her wallet with our room key and money inside. A kind local woman found it and called the hotel — and the amazing staff immediately drove out to pick it up for us. That kind of care and service is truly rare. The hotel is beautiful — large, elegant rooms, great breakfast, and a perfect base for exploring Rioja’s vineyards and small historic towns. If you are staying in Laguardia then Hotel Hospederia de los Parajes is probably your best bet. The reason for marking it down to 3 stars is that the chef(s) put masses of salt on any cooked meal - whether that was eggs for breakfast or our dinner - which really detracted from the experience. Other than that, the hotel has a great location on the main square and the rooms are comfortable (although rather dimly lit) Laguardia is an interesting walled town and is in walking distance to a number of vineyards that do great tours (we chose Campillo) and has some great hiking nearby.
