“Can't stay away from Amerigo”
Love this hotel magnificent facility, clean and well kept. Food services high quality and great people
“Faultless and would certainly recommend”
Great location on the 2nd row and less than a 1 minute walk to the marina. Check in was excellent and staff very friendly and accommodating throughout the hotel. Had a suite with a balcony, bed was excellent and very comfortable. There was no noise coming in from the street below which is always and added bonus. The room was spotless and had a turn down service in the evening which was great. Plenty of products in the bathroom. Booked this one through Jet2 as a city break package and found we got value for money. Food from within the hotel was excellent as we had lunch to take away up to the room one afternoon.
“Outstanding hotel and great value for money”
Booked with Jet2 for 9 nights. Paid half as much compared to recent holidays and twice as good. The location is superb, literally a minute from the sea front promenade, marina and main streets. Despite this our room is quiet on the third floor. Our room is very spacious with both bath and separate shower. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is lovely with a large selection of continental foods as well as a hot personalised order which is extensive and include porridge, omelettes, poached eggs, salmon, bacon, sausage, pancakes etc. The coffee machine is really good. Breakfast is from 7.30am till late and there is plenty of space. The rooms also have pod coffee machines. The roof top has a small covered pool and a sunbed area. We have always managed to get a sunbed although more could be needed later in the season. There is a bar and cafe. Staff are excellent. Towels are changed in the evening for the morning shower. The hotel is very clean. We enjoyed the Thursday flamenco show which included a singer, guitar player and female dancer. They perform every week in the covered courtyard and we had tapas in the restaurant which was tasty. I could go on but thoroughly recommend this hotel and believe it could not be beaten on quality or location. Taxi from the airport is €25 and quick.
“Excellent hotel”
Stayed 4 nights in this brilliant hotel Location - I took the airport bus C6 and got off at the Puerta stop . Cross the road , turn left and walk for a few minutes , the hotel is one street back (behind famous fast food outlet) Check-in - seamless and facilitated by the very competent Ivan. Offered water or cava given my room key and although arrived quite late, restaurant was still open. A massive €200 deposit taken against my card for any intended spending which I was surprised at, I used a debit card, €200 came off instantly but took over 24 hours to be reimbursed so be warned ! Room - ten out of ten to the management here because my room, 103 faced out onto the street with a perfect little terrace which not only offered ambiance but a window to the world and let fresh air in. As a single traveller I’m often relegated to a tiny windowless room somewhere in the bowles of the hotel so I was more than impressed. I’ve posted photos but the room had plenty of lights, a ginormous bed which I slept well in and lovely amenities. A Nespresso coffee maker, toiletries, a fridge (stuffed full of mini bar stuff so couldn’t really use it) and a hairdryer which had the strength of an industrial leaf blower!! Whilst some have commented about the bathroom/ toilet set up, it was perfectly adequate although I do think elderly persons could find it difficult stepping into the bath for the shower (although there are grab rails) . The bathroom is all marble and slightly dated, I do think that soon they will need an upgrade . Plenty of wardrobe space with proper hangers, umbrella ( I thought this was very thoughtful) and robes/slippers. A safe which is situated almost on floor level so a bit awkward to use in my opinion and could be better sited. Air conditioning but I couldn’t get it to work !! Breakfast - 7.30-11.00 - so plenty of time to use. Wonderful and vast selection and a nice coffee machine. Teapots if you like a pot of tea. Food - I had booked half board and was disappointed to see that the full menu was not offered to me rather a set menu containing 4/5 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts. While I have to say the starters were the size of bin lids, some of them were a bit strange e.g grilled veg which was just that, a lot of very very hot grilled veg. However mains and deserts were very tasty. I had water with my meals at a cost of €4 per bottle. On the 4th night the full menu was offered (see photos) which contained many of the dishes on the set menu so unsure why it’s not offered throughout? Just a note, it’s no good serving the bread to go with the cheese plate when I’d almost finished. Rooftop- the pool is enclosed. Seating is a mixture of pool beds, chairs/tables, bar stools but I have to say was most underwhelming for a 5 star hotel and it’s almost as if it’s been forgotten about, I think a good overhaul of this space and furniture/ aesthetics is needed for this up market establishment. Even in out of season there were not enough beds for people and the lay out was barely maximised . Pool towels are provided in abundance though and gym was spotless. I did not use the spa but popped my head in the sauna which is separated in the ladies changing area. Thursday night entertainment of flamenco and singers in the outdoor area - heaters in operation. The staff here are outstanding and very amenable, a big shout out to super friendly and hardworking housekeeping who kept my room spotless with a nice turn down service and amazing chocolates as well as being unobtrusive. All in all, I had a first class stay and would definitely recommend !!! Extra notes - Santa Barbara castle within walking distance. C6 bus cost €4.60 . Shopping centre 30 minutes walk. Mercado 15 minutes walk , port, less than 3 minutes walk. Postiguet beach 5 minutes walk.
“The perfect getaway.”
Just back from a weekend in this beautiful hotel and enjoyed it so much I've booked another trip over Easter. It is perfectly located. Check in was seamless and vey pleasant. Room was very clean and well appointed. We arrived late but were facilitated in the restaurant for a late dinner. Staff are very pleasant and the food was super. The outstanding Swedish massage and facial was the highlight of my stay. The spa staff were so professional and kind. The hotel overall is very clean and my room was large with a very comfortable bed and great turn down experience.
“Elegant spa hotel in the old town of Alicante”
Elegant and classy spa hote in the beautiful old town of Alicante. We had a welcome cava on arrival and amazing service throughout the stay. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of local food and a nice selection of cooked breakfast. The staff were polite and the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. I would recommend this hotel for couples and friends.
