“Comfortable, affordable stay”
The best

A comfortable stay in the heart of the city. Helpful staff and clean rooms. The rooms have basic infrastructure. They serve breakfast at the cafe adjoining to the hostal. The cafe is small so it gets pretty crowded during the rush hour but serves good breakfast. The property stores luggage free of cost after check-out, if your flight is at a later time.

“Disappointed”
The best

We read the reviews about Hostel Abadia, and most of them were positive. Unfortunately we do not share the same thoughts. The location was good, but the double room was dark and stuffy, with hardly any fresh air. The shower was rusty… On top of that, it was extremely noisy — we could literally hear our neighbors talking, as well as everything happening outside. Breakfast is served in a separate building next to the hotel, where you have to hope for a free table. It felt more like a crowded canteen than a relaxing start to the day. The staff were friendly, but overall we wouldn’t recommend this accommodation. It was quite a disappointment, unfortunately.

“Ok, but definite drawbacks”
The best

We were 3 adults traveling together and booked 2 rooms (one 4th floor Double with Balcony and City Views and one 6th floor Deluxe Penthouse with Terrace and city views). I would not stay here again in the future, since the positives were outweighed by the negatives. Positives: + The location is awesome for walking, getting on the subway, or getting a taxi. Less than a mile to many sites, tons of walkable restaurants, plus several grocery stores to get a quick snack. + The breakfast was included and was good-- quite a few bread options, sliced fruits, some eggs, bacon, etc. And the breakfast area was never overwhelmingly busy while we were there. + The terrace on the 6th floor as part of the penthouse was lovely: gorgeous views of rooftops, nice breeze...as long as the 5th floor neighbor doesn't yell at you. And the penthouse room has a washing machine that was not listed on the website. + The price was lower than the average hotel or hostel in the area. Negatives: - The Double with Balcony and City Views balcony did not open, and the room was TINY. There was very little floor space. The bathroom was so small there was literally no where to hang a toilet paper roll and I hit my head on the towel rack. And the bathroom ceiling had some strange discoloration. The air-conditioning was insufficient, even for the tiny space of the room, had a light on all night, and often made a squeaking sound. - The walls between rooms let through a ton of noise. It sounded like our neighbors were right in the room with us, so be ready to play white noise all night. - There is an elevator for the building, but it is tiny and there is a long wait. There are signs saying people should only use it for going up. So you end up using the stairs a lot... - We used the stairs between our family's two rooms on the 4th and 6th floors, and got yelled at by some neighbors. Apparently the 5th floor is private residences, but we had keys and reason to be on the 4th and 6th floors and were not supposed to use the elevator. I have no idea what they thought people would do. - The gym is next door. It is a business of its own, and the hotel has 3 or 4 membership cards it charges hotel guests to use for 2 Euros. When we asked one hotel desk staff person, they just said you pay your Euros, exchange your room key for a gym pass, and after your workout exchange it again. But when we were actually ready to work out, the second hotel desk staff said we needed to make a reservation because all of the passes were in use. That said, the gym was nice and the location was very convenient. - The hotel staff only spoke a tiny bit of English. When I was struggling through the gym situation in Spanish, the staff person spoke English to someone else and I asked if we could continue the conversation in English and he said no, he only speaks a little English.

“Perfect for a Short Stay Near Transport Links”
The best

I stayed for just one night, as I had an early train the next morning. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Check-in after midnight was smooth, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was great, and the location was very convenient — close to both the metro and bus stations. Ideal for a short, hassle-free stay!
