“Liked the diverse options for plugging in cords, a usb plug and standard type F/C plug to allow different types of connections. Air conditioner worked great, and was very necessary during an extremely hot week in Madrid. Location was perfect, placed right in the middle of a shopping center so access to stores were easy and fast, a 3-5 minute walk from the main metro station for easy transportation, and a 5 minute walk to a bigger plaza/district for more shopping options. Area is filled with restaurants and bars, simply walking around the property will allow you to find something to your liking. · Cons: Size of the bathroom was a bit small for me, being someone who is a little bit bigger than average. Shower water can fill up and flood through the doors a little bit also, making bathroom very wet.”

“DO NOT COME. TOO EXPENSIVE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE AND ROOMS”

HORRIBLE. DO NOT COME.I booked room 49, a single room that was supposed to be soundproofed. The toilet paper was disgusting – it looked like it had been soaked in water and then put back in place like nothing had happened. I wouldn’t recommend using it for hygiene purposes because who knows what kind of infections you could get. The bed was also in terrible condition, making loud cracking noises every time I moved. There was no table to sit at or work on. The room overlooked an internal patio, and two American girls were shouting there all the time. The noise was clearly audible in the room, making it impossible to rest or get any work done. The receptionist – a gay man (so you can identify him) who likes to criticize public workers – went into a room and did not come out for an entire hour hiding from me. I checked the time. He deliberately avoided solving my complaints or giving me any solution about the room. It seems he doesn’t want to work either, just like the public workers he criticizes so much. So unprofessional and rude! I had to leave the hostel because of the poor service and conditions, and I didn’t get any partial refund or support. I ended up paying 64 euros for this terrible room and then an extra 60 euros for a room at a different hostel because the receptionist was completely useless and unpleasant. I do not recommend this hostel at all. Avoid it if you can.
