I LIKE the hostal too much, it's close to the high way, very tidy, calm and the hoste Christina is very nice. I recommend it for every traveler .

“Excellent small hotel”

The best

An excellent small hotel, well located at the north end of the town, with handy street parking behind it. It's run by two delightful and very helpful ladies. There is no breakfast onsite but there is a cafe and an excellent restaurant below the property. Bejar is a good stopping point from Santander/Bilbao when heading north or south.

“Economical and pleasant”

The best

They don’t provide breakfast but recommended the cafe downstairs. La Plata is a buzzing bar/restaurant in the evening but breakfast is rudimentary. The ladies on the desk at the Hostel are charming. Room was basic but clean. Bed comfy. Would be happy to stay there again.

“Comfortable hotel”

The best

It is a family hotel and the staff is very welcoming. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was good with a good shower.

To be improved

We were biking Via de la Plata and for us, it was a bit far in town (in the opposite side of the old town). Since it was a rainy day and we were very tired when we arrived, we ended not going to the old city center ant night, as we had planned (to see the cathedral etc.). But depending in where you are going in town and if you have a car, it should not be a problem. It ś not a big city, after all.

“Very good”

The best

Clean, quiet and comfortable beds. Great for what it was.

To be improved

Ideally would have been nice to have some facility to make coffee especially as they don't serve breakfast. Also there was a nice bath but no plug! I would happily paid a bit more for them to afford to provide these things.
