“Funky hotel in a convenient location.”
The best

Funky little hotel in a very convenient location (about halfway between the Retiro Park and the Plaza del Sol). A bonus is that the neighborhood is very quiet. There are two small hotels with the same owner in the same building. The manager of the facilities was super friendly. I chose this hotel not just because of the location but also because the rooms looked anything but cookie-cutter at a VERY reasonable price for Madrid. They offer an 8 Euro breakfast coupon for three local breakfast places, and that was also a decent deal.

Great location, very comfortable and clean, decor was very authentic. Breakfast was fantastic at a local cafe. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lots of great tapas bars and restaurants close by.

To be improved

A couple of flights of stairs to get in but the concierge helped by carrying our bags up and down so wasn’t a problem really
