Overall, the room was decent and met the basic needs for a short stay. The owner was responsive most of the time, which was appreciated. The location was convenient, within walking distance of some main attractions.

To be improved

The room remained quite warm despite having air conditioning, which made it less comfortable, especially in the heat.

Very central location, close to metro and major sites and all amenities, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, quiet room which faced away from traffic for peaceful sleep.

To be improved

Entry into the hostal on arrival was complicated because there is a remote reception relying on cctv camera entry system. Complicated. Relied on other visitors to gain entry into the hostal, very poor entry system because relies on remote reception which relies on security camera. But once another tourist traveller allowed me into the hostal it was fine and we found our room key on reception desk.

Great! Here's a tailored review for Hostal Barcelona: I had a great stay at Hostal Barcelona! The staff were welcoming and always ready to assist with any questions. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The location is excellent—close to public transport and many of the city’s main attractions.

To be improved

One small downside was the noise from the busy street outside, especially at night. But considering the central location, it’s a fair trade-off. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would happily return!

“First of all, there was no one at the hotel. We were opened remotely by everyone. When we took the keys and went into the room, it was as if someone had bathed in our room and left a wet towel. Then there was dampness all over the room. You couldn't make coffee. When we went for a walk, our room service came in and touched our things, which we did not like. I don't recommend it as much as possible”
