The location is perfect and easy to find. We didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The room was large and had all the amenities we needed.

To be improved

The AC unit did not put out cold air but this was fine as it was mild weather while we visited.

Had a great stay in this hotel. Was safe and clean and central for walking to main locations in the city. The room was spacious and the bed was good, but the bathroom was very small.

“Best location and great staff”

The best

This is a rather unique hotel - no large exterior signs, no lobby, no fancy elevators - but it has the best location for tourists visiting Madrid. We have a huge room on the 4th floor, facing the Palacio Real and Plaza de Oriente. Fantastic views! You can purchase a ticket (10 Euros) for breakfast at Cafe de Oriente, which is just below our rooms. Great deal! The cafe itself is a beautiful establishment. The interior is intricately decorated, and it's also very nice to sit outside at the plaza, looking out to the palace and all the actions going on in the plaza. I must complement the staff - especially Alina and Jose, who were so very helpful and attentive. Great customer service! If you are looking for modern and chic amenities, this hotel may not be for you. But if you enjoy decors with a touch of the past, and vintage atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.

Great location. Large, clean rooms. Quiet surroundings. Helpful and competent staff.

To be improved

The staff smoke in an atrium area which also includes the windows of inside rooms. We were unable to open the windows because of this issue. Also, strangely, one of the staff members (a woman) screamed --- multiple times --- at dogs who were located just outside the front door of the property at approximately 11:15 p.m. on the last night of our stayed. We witnessed this incident from the restaurant in front of the property. This was not an isolated incident, as the woman continuously screamed at the top of her lungs at the dogs. This needs to be addressed.
