However it had plenty of life, nice bars and restaurants. Our host guided us to a lovely local tapas bar and it was excellent. The hotel itself was exceptional value for money. The cheapest of our whole cycling trip”
I didn't know what to expect from El Ejido as it is the main town for the fruit industry in the south of Spain. We were passing through on a cycling trip. However it had plenty of life, nice bars and restaurants. Our host guided us to a lovely local tapas bar and it was excellent. The hotel itself was exceptional value for money. “I asked for help, and the property refused. We checked in, went briefly to the room, didn't touch anything. When we left I heard my son had been in an accident, at home in Spain, 200km away. We went back immediately, to cancel the room (within an hour) and told them the circumstances. They understood, we thought, offered their condolances and understanding that we had to return home and now didn't need the room, and after I spoke to your Customer Services, I was told we'd get refunded. The manager shook our hands and said sorry. Today, I came home to find an email from Booking.com saying the property have refused to refund, for an un-tocuhed room. I am appalled that the property have done this, and that Booking.com have allowed this. I have been a customer for many years, and no amount of problems before has ever caused me to complain. I would like this decision to be reviewed, and for you to refund the money if the property will not. “Really friendly staff and I got my room upgraded for free, just because they could! I could also store my bike in a safe place there and it was no problem to leave it there for a few hours after checkin out.”
