Hostal Centro Sol

I'm just back after a four night stay at Centro Sol and cannot praise it enough. Located just a few steps from Sol metro, it's well positioned right in the centre, yet the inner room was extremely quiet and spacious, and though booked as a single, had two twin beds. The reception, on the second floor of the building is serviced by a lift as well as the stairs. The staff I dealt with were so friendly and helpful. My en-suite room was perfect with comfortable bedding, high quality linen, and the bathroom had everything one would need for an enjoyable stay. Cleanliness was 5* too and the room's key card, which is often not an option at hotels of this rating, was very handy when leaving/arriving. No key to be dropping at reception. So, if you want a reasonably priced, clean and central base in Madrid, give Centro Sol a try. The facilities were exactly as described.

Booked a one night stay. very good location. Good price. Close to everything. Clean basic rooms. staff very nice. only down side no plugs at side of beds to charge phone. Also walls are thin as i had neighbours who wanted to chat till two in the morning but i was just unlucky i think.

Looking for hotels in the Sol area was getting too expensive for the dates I wanted to go (just before Feb half term). I decided to try the Hostal Centro Sol based on the location and reviews and it was the perfect decision. Friendly staff, clean, location next to everything, quiet as my room was not facing front, exactly what I was looking for. We are coming back with family during the Easter break. Can't wait.

The room is clean, need some repair.Cleaning lady was very sweet. Staff is not very friendly .Location is great- close to shopping,restoraunts.Hostel amenities said free wifi, but no internet whatsoever .

The hotel is in an excellent location with the metro nearby and all the major tourist attractions are within easy reach. The room we had was at the back of the property and was nice and quiet. The room was cleaned everyday and the toiletries included a razor which is more than some hotels provide, the shower was really powerful. For the price and the location it is brilliant. The Museo Del Jamon across the road is the best place for cheap beer and food hence it is always full.

Albergo centralissimo, zona piena di locali in cui bere e mangiare a costi contenuti e a due passi dalle principali attrazioni madrilene. Pulizia della camera buona, stanze piccoline ma confortevoli. Un po' rumoroso la notte.
