Hostal Comercio

I highly recommend Hostal Comercio. First, it's super well located. It's literally built into the old walls of the city, right next to the Puerta de Sevilla (Seville Gate). You are right in the middle of town! Second, the rooms are comfortable and cozy. My single room was small, but super clean with a clean and functional bathroom. I also had a nice little balcony overlooking the plaza out front. Lots of old world charm in both the rooms and lobby. Third, and most of all, I recommend this place because of the wonderful owners. This hostal has been in their family for generations and they lovingly maintain it. They are kind and considerate. If you speak Spanish and you're lucky, you may also get to hear some wonderful stories from the gentleman owner. He's charming and funny. It was my privilege to stay there!

This is a hostel (not a hotel) but it has all the amenities. It's absolutely lovely and charming - part of the old city walls, with a traditional patio and rooms that feel very authentic. The owner is absolutely lovely - he shared a lot of information about Carmona's history and local life with us. He also recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner. Overall, a charming place!

The place exudes charm. Good location. The family running it, very pleasant. I liked it. However, to say the rooms are small is an overstatement. The bathrooms are a joke, especially if you are a larger sized person. And while pleasantly served, breakfast is skimpy and a joke. Still, it is quite traditional and very quaint.

It's almost like a step back in time but nicely done. Staff were helpful we turned up on spec after being directed there from tourist information couldn't find anything available on the net, We also got a double bed the room was small but sufficient and looked down into the internal courtyard.It had hot and cold AC so that heated the place up. I didn't see the swimming pool but I think I spotted it when visiting the tower that is part of tourist information centre. One night €50 additional €1.5 for large glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and another €3.5 for coffee and a giant toasted roll with butter and homemade marmalade or choose churros instead. Total €60

If Carmona is indeed the "Star of Europe", this hostal is one of its brightest lights. Traditional styled rooms with high ceilings and flagged floors are set around a traditional Andalusian courtyard full of plants and Spanish furniture. The beds are comfortable, and although there is no TV, there is air conditioning and a hair dryer. The terrace has a swimming pool, and a wonderful view of the "Giraldilla", whilst you can virtually touch the massive "Puerta de Sevilla" as the place is built over the Carthaginian fosse and into the old town wall. Breakfast only.

The location really "in" the old town's wall next to the Puerto Seville is amazing. There is a cheap public parking around the corner and it is only a short walk there. The owners are friendly. We did not have any reservation but this was no problem the beginning of may. We got a huge room. Everything was really clean and amazingly quiet. We had a wonderful view from a little balcony over the cathedral. The only downside is that there are no double beds, just single one. But the beds were comfy and clean - so no reason to complain about that. There is a wonderful patio. When stepping outside the hostel there first bar is just around the corner. You can walk to all the interesting parts of Carmona. The big plaza in the old town is a nice spot for a sundowner and people watching and there are lots of good restaurants around. Hostel Comercio is the only reasonable priced accomodation in the old town! And, if you have a flight the next day out of Seville, it is cheaper and faster to spend the night in Carmona.
