The receptionist man was obviously frustrated with me because I can’t speak Spanish. He seemed to be obsessed with the check out time for some reason. Maybe we both got lost in translation. I don’t know

“Nice room with view into the garden. · Cons: I don´t understand, why staff told me, that I can only use the garden at the check in and at the check out (when I was in hurry) I was informed about the museum for guests. I would enjoy it more if I had this information earlier. Kettle and tea bags on the room would be nice.”

“Mountain Retreat”

The best

I liked the history and quiet loaction. My room terrace was a good size for sunbathing in August with lovely views over the mountains. I saw a lightening storm from there & full moon. It was tranquil. The towels were good quality & a spacious room & bathroom..I was only a short country walk to Poblet monastery where I found a gorgeous courtyard cafe/restaurant. I ate breakfast at the hotel with varying choices, dinner isn't offered, though . BUT you can use the microwave & fridge storage to prepare eggs at breakfast yourself or to make a small meal using microwave, storing salad & fruits. There are 2 restaurants attached to hotel. And a great Philippines restaurant a short walk from Spar shop,.for all kinds of foods & good coffee & good herbal teas..There are a few food places near there also The property is very interesting though..And a local man feeds local cats nearby. Don't think there are lots of strays, roaming around as there aren't.He touched my heart when I realised what he was doing. He was so kind During high season you can use the nearby outdoor pool for €2.50 run by local councils. Restaurant/bar there too..Don't stay here if you are ignorant and expect it to be like Salou or Tarragona or Cambrils. You MUST know some basic Spanish as it IS a Spanish, mountain town. I loved it. I'd taken my own kettle for the room which I was pleased about... Many thanks for picking me up from the train station on my arrival as it was close to 40 degrees & I don't drive..I LOVED my stay here. And would love to see it in December.

Great TV provided But couldn't really find many English channels. But I'm in another country to experience new things, new language so I used my phone to watch a movie.
