I didn’t realise there was no facilities in the hotel or bar, snack bar breakfast etc. no tea or coffee in the room but fridge was useful.

The property was very clean, confortable and charming. The location, right iin the center, is unbeatable and makes it easy to move about attrations. The staff is also very kind and helpful. I would certailny recommend Hostal Don Alfonso for a nice stay in Madrid.

Very close to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Also very close to a huge supermarket. I enjoyed a guided tour of the “Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales”, which was right around the corner: thousands of 16th and 17th century portraits and painted murals.
