“An enjoyable relaxing holiday in Conil.”
We were in easy walking distance to everything in Conil and felt a part of the community. Our accommodation was very spacious, comfortable, secure and clean. We had access to an enormous terrace and our own sitting room with a smart t.v giving us access to multiple languages. Everything was in good working order including air conditioning. The staff were very friendly. Free parking close by. We will be back.
The internet was very slow although technicians were brought in to work on it. So it could just have been an unfortunate blip for us. Very close to noisy bars although generally the measures taken by the owners to counter this were efficient: double glazing, shutters and black out curtains.

“Wonderful hidden gem in Conil de la Frontera”
The Alojado de Velarde hotel is a hidden gem in Conil de la Frontera. The hotel stands in a house that was built in 1780 and it has been fully renovated, maintaining the distinct architectural features of the time. We had a room upstairs, with two small balconies. Although there is a bar right outside which opens at night, the two balconies had double doors with thick window panes and blackout curtains so with a bit of help from the AC (very modern unit too), it was very easy to fall asleep without the noise from outside. The location is superb. We drove and, despite having no issues, the streets are extremely narrow and there is no parking nearby as you would have elsewhere. Instead, there is free public parking near the boardwalk. The hotel staff recommended unloading the car and then parking down there. We did that and had no issue. It's a 10 min walk (albeit slightly uphill). In the end, because we walked from the hotel to the beach and back several times a day, upon checking out we decided to just walk down with our luggage rather than moving the car through those very narrow streets. In terms of food and things to see, the hotel is in the historic part of town. There are cafes, restaurants and little shops with cute (not tacky trinkets) things and beach attire every few steps. The room was very spacious and comfortable, very modern in its design. It was cleaned daily. The shower was excellent: great water pressure and very hot. Perfect after a long day at the beach. The staff was also another high point. Warm and savvy, they truly took care of us. Will definitely return.
The reception is only open in the morning into the early afternoon. It was not an issue but we did check in late and so Sonia had to come in expressly to check us in. She had no problem doing this but I wish I had known. The streets are very narrow, so if you're driving a large car, just park by the beach/boardwalk and walk up to the hotel.
“If I don’t stop praising this place I will never be able to get a room.”
It is my Conil-Go-to I have been praising this wonderful lil hotel for over 5 years.
I didn’t like that there was nothing I didn’t like except Mira’s bar downstairs is closed on Wednesdays.
“Great place in mid downtown close to everything”
First the attention from staff was absolutely great, then the place is cosy and beautiful. We are very happy with the stay.
Nothing.
